Lagos

Nice town to visit. Very touristy. English is widely spoken. Mostly American, British and German tourists in Feb. Public transport could be better.

Really easy to get from Lagos to faro as it’s a direct train. Easily got a 6 euro Uber from the train station to the airport. Also went from lisbon to Lagos with a change at tunes. All very easy to do. There were strikes on one journey which meant a delay of 1.5hrs. I’d chance it though and get an Uber if you need to. Uber from Lagos to faro is about 80 euro though so 10x the rail price.

Great place to visit, shopping in the old town, stunning beaches, boat trips, dolphin viewing, trails, cafe culture, restaurants, marina life, night life, nature, not over exploited, fabulous Atlantic weather, walled old town, lots of caves and cliffs to explore, great friendly atmosphere, cooler in summer than most of the Algarve, friendly, clean and not horribly expensive.

Station is clean and accessable. I think people with Mobility Issues would need the Conductor to help them get on the Train, as they all have 3 or 4 steps. Trains are cheap. A couple of Euros to Portimao, maybe 20 Euros to Lisboa or the Spanish border. Punctual to within 5 minutes, I've generally found. Very pleasant and rarely crowded. Half price tickets for Senior Citizens.

היא יקרה אבל מאוד חמודה, היא כמו שעיר אמורה להיות.

Klein, modern und sauber. Bin auf dem Weg zum Strand nur mal kurz rein um einen der Züge besser anzuschauen.

Ein wunderschöner, moderner Bahnhof: für 2,05€ pro Person kommt man von Lagos nach Portimao…und der Zug ist gut gefüllt, moderne Waggons, Klimaanlage funktioniert: da kann die Deutsche Bahn noch etwas lernen.

Estação com boas condições e pouco movimentada. Vale sempre a pena visitar Lagos, é das cidades mais bonitas do Algarve

Ligar lindo! Passeio de barco é imperdível

Uma das 2 cidades mais bonitas do algarve e com a maior variedade de praias. Desde a pequena "Creek" á enorme Meia-Praia existem praias para todos os gostos. Tem uma costa panorâmica linda e um centro histórico muralhado bem preservado.

Nettes Personal und sehr sauber. Übersichtlich ist es auch und es gibt ein Café.

Hier muss man sich einfach Wohlfühlen. Ein Ort mit vielen Küchen die schmackhafte Gerichte zubereiten. Sehr schöne kleine Cafe die zum genießen und entspannen einladen. Das Wetter und die Natur sind einfach fantastisch. Die einheimische Bevölkerung ist sehr freundlich.

Konečná stanica železničnej trate. Pekná moderná budova s halou, kde sú miesta na sedenie, 2 okienka na predaj lístkov a kancelária cestovky BlueFleet. Trať Lagos-Faro-Vila Real de Santo Antonio na hraniciach so Španielskom má asi len 9 spojov denne, preto sa predaj lístkov otvára len hodinu pred odchodom vlaku ( posledný spoj do Fara ide o ôsmej večer ). Personál hovorí anglicky a platiť môžete kartou. Hneď vedľa je kaviareň otvorená od skorého rána. Okrem nápojov majú aj sendviče a pečivo za ľudové ceny, napr. typické portugalské pečivo z lístkového cesta plnené žĺtkovým krémom "Pastel de nata" za 90 centov, čo je cena nižšia ako v obchode s pečivom, je zaručene čerstvé, priamo od výrobcu. Raz za hodinu sem chodí MHD linka č.1 a je tu aj stanovište taxíkov. Bývalá stará budova stanice s typickými kachličkami "azulejos" je teraz pomaľovaná grafiti. Točna a garáž pre lokomotívy zarastá burinou a kríkmi, pretože motorové vlaky ju už nepotrebujú.
