Is just impossible not to fall in love with this place!
What a Leitao! Wow! Just perfect flawless tender juicy meet! Quality, attention, food, wine list, just perfect. Leitao was in the right temperature, so juicy and with the cracking absolutely marvelous!
It has become now a most when traveling to Portugal. Thanks to the owners and staff for making a lovely dinner.

Second time we stop for the Leitão in our way to Lisbon. The Leitāo with batatas and espumante wine is delicious. Keepbsome room for the homemade desert, the flan (pudin), molotov cake, and gelatos are so good. Highly recommended!

Arrived slightly early to this area which is well known for their suckling pig (it opens at 12pm). We were one of the first customers & sat ourselves down. The place started to fill up & by the time it was 1pm the place was full on Monday.

English is not very fluent here, but they know what you are after here. The suckling pig. They also serve you bread, cheeses & olives - I forgot if this was a charge. Overall it was about €41 for 2 people.

The suckling pig was tasty, moist & had crispy skin, it is accompanied by salad & chips.

I haven’t tried the other places nearby but this was a great place to try out the pig.

Excellent Suckling pig served in Bairrada regions, or probably the best in Portugal.

Best roast piglet in the region. It's a must when traveling the A1.
Clean, orderly entrance, quick service, delicious food.
You can order prior, you can ask to be delivered or just eat in.
You have to come early.

The leitões (baby pigs) didn’t sacrifice in vain. They made it so well to show the respect to life. The roast skin has a smell of coal 🤤 and the meat bounces in your teeth. After that a piece of orange is all you need to fresh.

Despite very busy the service was great as always. The leitão is absolutely amazing. Great value for money. Would recommend booking table during busy times.

Large dining rooms, plenty of tables, friendly service, great food. A bonus for anyone with dietary restrictions, the menus are easy to read with labeled ingredients list .

We were staying at the Curia Palace hotel, very nice but the restaurant was particularly poor and expensive for vegan and vegetarian meals. So we looked on google maps for a decent local restaurant for our sunday evening meal.
We chose this restaurant because it was highly rated and we now know why. First class service and wonderful food at sensible prices, they understood our vegan and vegetarian needs and delivered on all fronts, very highly recommended - try here first, you will not regret it.

The piglet is delicious but be aware that is a bit spicy since it has black pepper. The salad has a strong vinagrete which works well with the piglet and fries.

This was an unexpected find on our way to out of the wineries in the region.
The food was top notch, service very warm (and very fast) with great choices of food and prices.

We always tried different places in Mealhada and this was recently recommended by friends. The leitão is great with crispy skin and juicy meat. You can get the price per KG and for 4 we had 1.2Kg which was enough. The fries are nice and also the bread, so this is definitely a place we will go back instead of the other ones in the area.
