Restaurante Estaminé

Me and my sister had a day trip to the Desert Island (Ilha Deserta) the weather was great so we thought we will have a nice meal after a long walk around the island. The food was freshly made, well presented and delicious. The restaurant was closing at 6 pm and we had the last boat leaving at that same time too. We tried oysters for the first time and our waitress gave us some good tips what spices we can use if we don’t want to eat oysters just plain. The prices was good, but a bit more expensive then we had before going in other places in Faro. The drink prices was reasonable. But the biggest plus for this restaurant is how well the food was prepared and how fresh it was. Definitely will come back again once I come back to Faro.

Located on ILha Desert, accessible by tour boat catamaran or speed boat. This a beach area. This restaurant provides drinks and food. Bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms. Nice for walks on the beach and soak in the sun. Fairy ride is 5 euros, and speedboat is 10 euros.

lonesome place in the middle of the dunes in front of faro. good place to eat, friendly staff, epic scenery in front of the restaurant. best combined with a birdwatching boat tour.

Beautiful beach restaurant. The boat trip to the island is already a treat. We booked the tickets for the ferry (€5 each way per person) online. Very friendly people on the ferry as well that help you get on and off. Quite steep steps when you get off the ferry on Ilha Deserta though. The restaurant was nice, clean and had beautiful views. Service friendly and fast. The fish is super fresh and tasty. A real nice day out!

What a wonderful, top class restaurant to find on the “desert Island” after a 30 boat ride from Faro. The oysters and the goat cheese/apple salad were amazing. We had a light lunch just to try the cuisine, but it all looked first class

I can't say anything about the food or the service because I was only passing through. But based on what I saw, the facilities were clean and the food smelled good. Restaurante Estamine is the only restaurant that I could see on Ilha Deserta so there's that.

Incredible restaurant with stunning views, the tuna was the best I’ve ever eaten and the calamari was also delicious, all with a bottle of Al-Rio white wine from the Algarve. Highly recommended 👌

We were taken here by friends that had been here many times before and I can see why! It was an absolute culinary delight. Everything was 5 star. Another definately Go back to place. Another big plus is the boat journey from Faro to the island Ilha Deserta with it's wild, unspoilt beaches:)))

Absolutely unbelievable, beautiful view and gorgeous food. Cocktails are also really good! I would say this place is a must-visit but it does require a little planning as the only way on or off the island is via boat (there are scheduled ferries and speedboat shuttles). We had the assorted starter board and the clam rice for two - both excellent choices.

This place was absolutely incredible. We took a boat and went over to the restaurant. The boat had a cover on it so it kept the wind out. It is on an island with nothing else except a few Fishermans huts. The whole experience is amazing. Once we arrived we were greeted with open arms by the owner who is so friendly and lovely. The staff were attentive and we had a seat right next to the window so we could look at the beautiful view. They had a vegan fettuccini pasta option with mushrooms, a salad and the best dessert I’ve ever had in my entire life. I had the Keke cake (molten chocolate lava cake). The restaurant is sustainable and has huge solar panels outside. On their menu they have a page dedicated to ways in which they are eco-friendly and sustainable. This place is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. I would highly recommend going here.

Great place, amazing location, bit of a destination restaurant but worth the trip. Super food and service. Highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants in Algarve to have fresh seafood and fish experience. Most of the dishes are made with ingredients from Algarve and Ria Formosa. But I really recommend you to book a table previously.

Beautiful location, great staff, and good food!

Love the location. You rarely get better. Book ahead to get a window table. Service was very good - thanks so much Kaique! - but probably because they weren't busy. Food was great but the stars are for the location, I've had better food as excellent as it is.

Fantastic place. I was only there for drinks since I never eat at places with great views since it never translating into good food. but what I saw on the plates looked good.

Either way interior is so nice and modern but cozy at the same time. Really recommended when visiting the island.

Great food with a great view. Price of the dishes on the menu varies, so it can be as expensive as you want. The waiters were very friendly while still maintaining all etiquette rules.

Yes, it is more expensive than other restaurants in Faro. It is also the only restaurant on the deserted island and it has an incredible atmosphere and AMAZING views. AND THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! Your taste buds will be thanking your for a very long time if you eat here.

The waitstaff was so friendly and wonderfully attentive.

While we spent a bit more than 50€/person for our group of 4- you certainly don’t need to.

We had two bottles of white wine, two appetizers (the smoked tuna and the gooey cheese), entrees for everyone (grilled sea bass, mushroom linguini, and the calm rice which feeds two people), and two desserts (the keké chocolate lava cake and the cheese desert)

We recommend all the dishes we tried! And if you only had one drink and an entree each person you could easily keep your bill around 25-30€/ person.

Sadly I don’t have any photos of the food, because it looked so good and tasted so good upon arrival we lost ourselves in the meal and just had a wonderful, present moment.

Great restaurant with a wonderful vibe and scenery. The food was really nice, tasty and well presented. They have a great variety of seafood, fresh local fish which was really tasty.

We couldn’t stay long as we only had 20 mins after a walk along the beach before our boat, but the staff were friendly and efficient. Had delicious fresh oysters and calamari. Quite expensive, but you are paying for the location!
