Here you can take a taxi boat that takes you to main island but if you are only 2 people you have to pay for fixed tariff. If you use private taxi boat don't forget to get their number as you have to call them back to pick you up. The price is for maximum 5 people or you can queue for the main boat but the only downside is that it's every 1 hour even in full busy summer time.

Amazing ferry ride to Cultara. Farol and Armona are options as well. Less than 4 euros round trip and you get an impressive view of the lagoon and Olhao from the water. Round-trip to/from Cultara is about an hour plus the time you spend on the island. Recommended!

Ferry to Farol and Culatra (also Armona). Tickets 2 euro one way. Schedule in the picture. Nice walk from Farol to Culatra and beach for yourself! Much better than Ilha Deserta ferry from Faro which costs 10 euro return ticket.

Loved going on the ferry, boy cub loved it too. Chilly tho so bring your coat if you wanna sit at the top and enjoy the views! We had a blankie and sun was shining but it was still cold.. Just under an hour to get to the islands which are DEFINITELY worth a visit. So affordable and reliable. Ps if you get stuck on the island or miss the ferry there's a water taxi you can call its €30. Number is at the Dock area where you got off the ferry ;)

I have a small dog and they're the only water taxi service to go with, very friendly employees.
Helpful with older people to get in and out, I've seen that a few times.

Visited on Sunday 9th December. Blue skies, warm and a cafes to have a beer. Even fresh fish for sale!
