Dinner at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Will recommend each time I'm back in Portugal..

Very warm welcome from an English speaking personal. We both had a special fish of the day, which was absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced, too cheap, I would say.

Beautiful place to eat on top of the mountain next to Serra de Santo António caves. We had savory grilled chocos (cuttlefish) with potatoes and green beans.

From the staff to the food, Everything was an amazing experience

During our month our two months holiday in Portugal while we are at my husbands home town in Mira de Aire we come here to have lunch 3-4xs at least and of those days to take our Tia to her Birthday lunch bring her favorite place for lunch. We definitely enjoy coming here the selection of dishes are very good and the amount is just soo much for one person that we definitely share it and enough for 2-3 people. Prices are definitely very reasonable too.

I was going through the region and someone local suggested this place. I drove a few extra miles through the stone walled lined road and got enjoyed the beautiful landscape. I had stewed wild board with chestnuts, served in a steaming hot clay pot. I asked for half a portion and still had too much food. The meat was tender, perfectly cooked and the sweetness of the chestnuts in the tomato and onion broth was absolutely perfect. I had some olives, bread, a few nice little fried meat balls, half a bottle of red wine and coffee, all for Euro 19.70, fantastic price for where I come from. Service was nice and attentive, the place is spacious and has a good view of the surrounding area. I recommend it.

This restaurant turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.  It is located in an area of ​​great natural beauty, next to the Santo António caves in Serra d'Aire and close to the river beach of Olhos de Água. In view of that, the restaurant is frequented by many visitors, especially on weekends. It is not uncommon in these cases that high demand is reflected in lower quality and, therefore, my expectations concerning this restaurant were not very high. Fortunately, exactly the opposite happened: the restaurant's ample rooms proved to be more than able to accommodate the many customers, the food was excellently prepared — it was possibly the best "cabrito assado" (roast kid goat) I've ever tasted — and the table service was exceedingly friendly and competent. On top of that, the bill was surprisingly reasonable. Clearly, a restaurant to revisit.
