It is a lovely area to spend some time in Nature. Quite vast, peaceful, and beautiful. There are also some interesting places to visit nearby. (Bonus points if you get so lost you end up finding where i took my photos. :D )

this place has its beauty in authenticity. there are locals taking care of their fields and animals and if you go further you find rocks and vegetation in beautiful harmony. notice also the stone wals that are dividing the propety and marking paths

Serras de Aire e Candeeiros park offers both hiking trails and (shorter) trips for kids. Beautiful views, mines, caves, dinosaur tracks... You'll find it all in this park. We found about 15 different hiking trails online (Google helps out a lot) which we'll keep exploring the following years.

Vast natural park with unique attractions. A good one to keep cool in summer is Olhos D'Água near Alcanena. Cool natural springs that are the source of the Rio Alviela and ancient drinking water source to Lisbon.
