Praia Grande de Porto Covo

Beautiful beach. So much to explore for our kids, enough space to find your own little spot where you feel you have the place to yourself. Stunning.

Amazing place , feel safe , nice sand, good surroundings , warm water, easy to walk to and from there .
Will go back there and definitely recommend to anyone 👌

Fantastic peace of beach/nature near the little cozy village of Porto Coco! We were lucky to have good sunny afternoon after a rainy morning, during our visit to this place in June 2021.
You can park your car near the beach(es) and go by foot to Porto Covo. You cannot follow the beach the whole time, the rocks don’t allow you to do so… We loved this beach, although we didn’t sunbathe here.

A really fun beach, with clean waters and waves that the children can play in with their body boards. There are no rocks inside the water so, when the tide is low, it’s perfect for having fun on the waves.

Very cool beach, big waves and almost no wind due to the cliffs on both sides!

Wonderful place. Just a short walk from the town.

Lovely beach and full of local people. Toilet facilities available and also a nice bar with great fresh food. The beach was clean and nice. Highly recommended. Nice walk distance from Porto Covo to Praia Grande.

Brilliant Village with wonderful surroundings, we love visiting her every time we come. You can always find lovely spot with access to the amazing sea, beautiful scenery if you'ar up for a hike away from the town don't miss it

Honestly one of the best informal Restaurants we have ever had the privilege of eating in. The shrimp-curry should have it's own facebook page! Lovely people running it with care and warmth.

Nice beach with a nice view..

Wonderful sunset from the beach restaurant. Delicious fresh seafood and fish. Ecselent rapport quality quantity price. Polite and very honest staff. You can not miss it!

Great secluded beach with excellent support by the beach bar and restaurant where we relaxed a couple of hours drinking beer and enjoying the sun whilst it came down to welcome the quiet evening. We know where to come next time.

Perfect location. We ventured into Grande Porto Covo Beach and then the restaurant actually looking for a washroom post our camping (in our camper van) at a near by beach overnight. As per Portugal policies we ordered a coffee so we can use the washroom. We met a very pleasing and smiling Rita who is the most friendly restaurant person we have met in Portugal and Spain in last two weeks. The restaurant is in a PERFECT location and the coffee was perfect. Once we finished our daily rituals we ventured into the cold Atlantic for our first dip in Portugal. It was coldddddd....rrrr but worth the dip. Once we settled in we had lunch at the restaurant next to the cafe which is run by same team and Rita was as before friendly and smiling and jovial. We settled in to try a Prawn Curry strongly recommended by Rita who later we got to know is the the owner of the place. I was a bit skeptical about trying Prawn Curry in Portugal small beach town... but thank god we tried. It was yummy and a very beautifully created Mozambique influenced Indian Prawn Curry. It just made our entire day perfect. The pricing also is right. We paid only 11 Euro for the prawn curry + rice. We loved the curry so much we ordered another portion of the rice just to finish the curry. Another +5 stars goes for the quantity of prawns in the serve was impressive. Best wishes for Rita and her team as they just opened the restaurant in July this year. Cheers!

What a nice cozy beach

The biggest beach of Porto Covo, plenty of grockles. There is a very good café on the beach.

The beach is well maintained and clean.

If you are looking for something a little more than the beach café has then there are plenty of options in Porto Covo, Marques, café central or my favourite Miramar which is overlooking the fishing port.

Lovely beach with good parking and close to the town.

Just amazing scenery. Fab veiws and each cove as you move along just gets nicer. Go into the little villages and taste local food
