Hotel Porto Antigo

I had a two day stay here. The staff was wonderful. The views of the valley are breath taking and amazing. Additionally, the cost is great.

The best hotel in Ribadouro … the best place to spend the night, to write a book or a thesis while watching the magic landscape…

A very nice hotel at the foot of the two rivers Douro and Bestanca with a breathtaking view of the hotel room. We were very satisfied with our stay and enjoyed our time here very much. The food in the restaurant was delicious, the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. That's why we decided to stay here a little longer.

A wonderful small hotel in an unbeatable surrounding, right on top of the river Bank. The room have a river view and small balconies. There is also an outside swimming pool and inside gym. The in house restaurant and bar serve lunches, dinner and drinks, all top quality. Parking might be difficult during the weekends

Really lovely staff, nice breakfast although the fresh orange juice is not what it says. Beautiful location. Only complain the swimming pool water it's to treated you can't open your eyes and your skin complains. Nice that you can Just go and dive in the river!

Traveling on N108, along the banks of river Douro, not knowing whether we could find something nice to stop for lunch, we arived at Porto Antigo and Hotel Porto Antico that has a restaurant literally on the water! Great location, with views of surrounding hills and the river of course. Great food, too! Rather quiet, excellent for those who appreciate peace and unspoilt nature.

the only case to critizise: the cruise-ships nearby leaving too
much pollution! there fore the water is so dirty!

Lovely hotel on the Douro Valley, close to Mosteiro train station. Friendly staff, nice little pool, good breakfast, fantastic setting.

We have been provided for and treated professionally and courteously which made our stay a very pleasant one.
