Beautiful place, go there to enjoy the hotel. Not much around beside nature. But the hotel offers many experience-big gardens and trails, pets, outdoor and indoor pool, restaurant and bar, spa and most importantly amazing views from evert spot. Super nice and helpful staff. The garden is very taken care of. Seems the staff loves working there.

I’m very happy with my experience at Douro Palace Hotel. The hotel features a very nice spa where you can unwind and relax after a day of exploration. The facilities were clean, and the pool, sauna, and steam room offered a relaxing touch. The spa's ambiance contributed to a peaceful time. The restaurant's decor, inspired by Portuguese themes, complemented the overall atmosphere. The view of Douro River and vineyards from the balcony was breathtaking. If you're into comfort and relaxation with scenic natural views, this is the place to be.

Just concluded my stay at Douro Palace Hotel. The room offered a stunning nature view of the Douro River, hills, and vineyards. Evenings provided a spectacular display of stars. The rooms were comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast buffet was modest yet satisfying, featuring a mix of international options and delightful Portuguese pastries. Douro Valley's historic charm adds to the appeal. Recommended for those seeking a relaxing nature retreat.

Very modern and comfortable hotel with a beautiful view over the Douro valley, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is great, with everything you’d be expecting. Little tricky to get around has all the Douro valley is full of twisty roads and it takes forever to get around, but the hotel counteracts this with very nice areas that allow you to spend the day comfortably.

For the always smiling Firmino at the pool bar and the kind and welcoming houskeeping ladies: Service 5 stars. For the restaurant: they seem understaffed and there were almost no smiles (except the helpful Sergio) to see for a whole week: service 4 star. But the view and the Gardens are really nice, so it deserves a visit!

The best hotel I have ever stayed in Portugal, perfect for disconnecting and relaxing. The views are magnificent, the rooms are soundproof making it really easy to get a great night sleep. The outdoor pool is surrounded by nature and the SPA is quiet and relaxing, with the pool temperature just perfect. Breakfast is really good and with lots of options. Really enjoyed the mimosas in the morning. Loved everything!

What an amazing hotel!!! We stayed here in the fall season with a room overlooking the picturesque Douro River. I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. The location is perfect, set in the hill of the Douro valley overlooking vineyards and lush gardens. The appointments of the hotel area modern with excellent flow and feel. The Staff were attentive and accommodating. For a reset and recharge, this is certainly the place to go. We utilized the spa services and were completely pampered with an exfoliation, massage and facial. The breakfast in the morning is buffet style with excellent selections and Nespresso coffee. We loved our stay and highly recommend this property and it’s staff!

Perfect place for relaxing. It's a beautiful place (location and the hotel itself). Worth to mention the nice swimming pools, rooms and the amazing farm (with animals) that you can walk around. Dinner at the restaurant was Michelin-star worthy, really good. For the breakfast nothing was missing, and I had the best cappuccino ever 🤩

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary. The hotel is located off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Everything was amazing from start to finish. The staff scheduled our breakfasts, dinner, and spa treatments accordingly. Management went the extra mile and had rose petals scattered on our bed + a bottle of house wine (they make it themselves) and fruits delivered, knowing it was our anniversary. The view from our room was spectacular and the hotel is full of amenities - we even kind of wish we didn’t make plans outside of the hotel because there was just so much to do! We will definitely be staying here again when revisiting the Douro Valley.

Friendly staff at the reception, great restaurant for dinner and the breakfast included everything you could wish for (even bubbles!) massage at the spa was very relaxing, one tip: bring a haircover for the pool as they require it and at the desk it cost 4,50€

What a great hotel. The staff were amazing, they went out their way to help you. The facilities are amazing, they have done a really good job keeping the old house in with the new building. The spa is really good, my fiancé and I had a treatment each which we did not want to end. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit the douro valley, but definitely get a room with a river view.

Phenomenal hotel! Amazing food, kind personnel, sparkling clean. I was there for a 3-day meeting and it was just great. You guys must definitely try the chocolate cake dessert: you won't want to eat another chocolate cake in your life!

Great service, views. indoor pool and spa are included in price. Good food and wine. Even area to purchase wines and goodies to take home. I am going back soon.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. They grow their own fruit, vegetables and leaves and they have their own wine coming from the vines in the hotel. I really enjoyed our short stay for relaxing.

Great Hotel, beautifully designed, with a stunning surrounding landscape and gardens. If you are staying here you have to visit the fabulous Hotel SPA and try the wonderful food at the Hotel restaurant. One of the best experiences of my life.
