They are passionate about what they do. Very knowledgeable and friendly and helped a lot for purchasing for friends back home. Both of them were patient and gave lot of inputs and explained lot of details and it’s worth the walk to their store. They even helped with packing it safely for flight travel. If you need to buy some local vinho go here and they will give best advice.

Was fortunate to stop by this wonderful wine store while out enjoying the city. The staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the great wines during our dinner this evening. Thanks!!!!

Gota a Gota was recommended to us by our guide who used to live in this neighborhood, when I asked for an alternative to the many wine shops that cater to tourists.

As promised, the couple who owns the store is delightful and happy to share insights and recommendations.

I learned more than I’d learned anywhere else about biodynamic and organic farming during our two week trip to Portugal- including several wine tours at quintas in the Douro valley.

The short answer on organic/biodynamic wine is: smaller farms are more likely to maintain older farming practices without pesticides, and - importantly! - those practices will only improve the taste!

The owners carefully packed several bottles for us to take home in our luggage, successfully protecting our luggage from broken bottles.

If we need Portuguese wine in future back home, we will definitely order from them as they will ship!

Such helpful staff, he spent so much time educating us on the wine regions of Portugal, and selecting 4 samples of their wine menu of the month. The cheese and crackers paired nicely. Hope to go again soon!

Excellent. I bought a bottle of Vino Verde with them. This being the first time I’m buying such wine, they explained its origins and the different types of grapes to me — I couldn’t have felt treated any better, and their shop is just plain gorgeous. They have a wonderful selection of wines, from traditional to more exotic natural wines .. give it a shot, it’s worth it.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful English speaking owners. Bought our first speacially curated set of wines (vinho brancos, espumantes and just a few light bodied vinho tintos!!) that they deliver after store hours. They don’t anymore do unscheduled individual wine tastings but do group tastings only. We sure will be back!

Superb wine shop! Extremely helpful owners who couldn’t do enough to assist with choosing some bottles to take back to the UK. Amazing knowledge and understood exactly what I was after whilst keeping it in my price range. Thank you! Will make sure to come back when we next visit Porto.

A++ service and wine selection

Wine shopping as it should be. Great selection not only of famous brands but also of smaller family producers. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that don’t try to push the most expensive bottles but genuinely want to help you find the best match. And the wine tastings are a great bonus!

I discovered this store today, I don't know how I missed it previously but glad that I found it. A superb selection of intriguing Portuguese wines and a good selection of port. I treated myself to a dry white port and will be back.

One of the BEST places in Porto to taste wines by the bottle or glass. The owners are the loveliest people I've ever met, even when the kids with us were having a total tantrum, it didn't phase them, and they got them snacks and apple juice to 'taste' to keep us company.

They are not pushy in the slightest and I actually prefer tasting wine here as they make some amazing recommendations which you would not have the chance to try by just visiting the wineries in Porto.

Highly recommended, and we're waiting for delivery of our wines that we purchased :-)

A very nice shop with two lovely owners who were happy to spend time helping me select a couple of bottles. They are informative and the shop has plenty of bottles at good prices. Be sure to visit and ask plenty of questions. I will return.

I had a port wine taste there.
Even tho it wasn't a proper organized taste but it was just choosing a few port wines from the menu and some cheese, the staff gave us the whole explanation about each reference of port, its taste notes, history and also gave us a brief introduction to the world of port wines teaching us the kinds of port and the requirements that it has to accomplish to be called port.
Ruby, tawny, and dry is what we had the chance to tazte and definitely worth the time.
The place is beautiful, the space is clean and lovely decorated and the wines selection is pretty good, but the service... oh the service is the best, they made us feel like kings here

Great selection of wines and super nice owners who give very specific advice if needed. The day after, we even had some of the wines they recommended us at Alma restaurant (**) in Lisbon!

The owner speaks perfect English and has extensive knowledge on the products he sells. Just tell him what you're looking for and he'll find you some options to choose from.

Tired of port? But not tired of wine? this is the place! the owners are so sweet and love to help people find what they are looking for I live in California and wanted only small vineyard low production bottles and they gave me just that and more they are so sweet and suggested the tripas at a restaurant in the city so amazing! Stop by and hang out and leave with a full heart!

Wonderful wine shop with an incredible variety! The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable, too. Cozy little spot where you can enjoy a glass there and then take some home...definitely worth a visit!
