Continente Bom Dia

Very helpful, friendly staff. They offer you a free taxi ride if you buy over 100 euros worth of goods... very modern supermarket and they have absolutely everything you need and some great stationery too. You need eu coins to use a shopping cart, which are returned at the end of your visit, but you are allowed to take the shopping cart outside if you live nearby or have to load goods into your car.

Charcuterie heaven - they have both prepackaged charcuterie and right off the bone, and a great selection of both raw and smoked sausages. Amazing Portuguese cheeses, cut from the wheel. Whole pig. Whole octopus. Freshly baked bread. A ball of Burrata for one Euro. I discovered Rosmaminho olive oil at Continente, and I now have it shipped to the states. They offer many authentic international products like Parmigiano-Reggiano etc. We purchased an espresso pod coffee maker for 20 euros here (store brand) along with store brand espresso pods and it produced delicious, sweet coffee. They have baby products, but not sure which as I was not paying too much attention to this at the time. I was more focused on the massive alcohol section - fabulous Portuguese wines starting at 2 euros (sometimes even less)

They also have a cafe inside which makes amazing espresso and sweets - you can take them to sit outside and gaze at the River Duoro. The shopping experience here is actually relaxing. They accept American Express. One thing I do wish they improved was the points/rewards system - I spent a great deal here, and while overall, everything was an excellent value, it would have been great to earn some points or cash back. We now keep the Continente card as a souvenir and hope to use it soon regardless.

I shop in this Continente Bom Dia almost daily. This Bom Dia has an amazing variety of items for such a small store, it is surprising to find some items if you know where to look or ask. A decent selection of produce, a fresh fish counter that stocks daily and lots of frozen food. Also quite a good wine selection for a small store. They also have a fresh bakery and they have a café that serves lunch specials in addition to pastries. The store has a limited supply of fresh meats, only the basics. The store is well run as the staff have a real customer-first attitude and they work hard to keep the store clean and well stocked.

Super affordable and great selection. The pasta del nadas were great as well. I wish America had stores like this.

Not too crowded, organized, good service

Nice super market with a lot of options, organic, fresh, very clean, they also provide with toilets for the users. Had also a wide variety of fresh fish. The prices were average aswell.

Nice grocery store near our airBnb. Much bigger and better stocked than it appears on Google. Prices were reasonable.

Super supermarket.Not too big not too small. Prices higher than Pongo Dove but good, wide range. You may reach it by train 1 and 18 or if by car - in house parking.

Your regular Continente with a cafe. Free public toilet available
