Restaurante Espigueiro do Soajo

Best restaurant in Saojo! Have kept coming for over 6 years and will continue to do so. We love this place and recommend to anyone visiting Portugal. The meat melts in your mouth and the view is 1 in a million! Not to mention the hospitality of a MICHELIN STAR restaurant.

On the weekend (and if you call ahead) you may bee able to have the local specialty of cabrito asado (roast baby goat). Highly recommended. As is the roasted beef, served with its lovely juices, potatoes and rice. We also had some yummy cod fritters and tasty olives (remember, in Portugal you pay for any tapas that come before the meal, but as long as you know that, it may be absolutely worth it!)
Additionally, their coffee - which may be needed after such a hefty lunch - is really good. Recommended

The hostess was accommodating and charming. She served us excellent local wine, well cooked omelette and salad and mouth watering dessert. A delightful, light-ish meal in lovely surroundings.
I wished we lived here so we could return.

Amazing staff. Very accommodating with delicious local dishes. The mushroom appetizer and fried salt cod croquettes are definite musts. Cash only. Can be a great spot for a romantic dinner. Cute decor with lots of attention to detail. Roughly the same price as the other two restaurants on the same street. If you only went to one of the three restaurants on the same street, this would have to be the one. Our favorite by far.

Everything about this place is amazing. The food is delicious, with most dishes being local to the area. The service is sublime, all the staff are accommodating and friendly. The owner especially is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Great food, great service, will always come here whenever I’m nearby.

We've been here twice while on vacation and both times we ate like kings! If you like meat that you can cut through like butter, this is the place. Staff is amazing and very attentive. Now, let me finish my wine!

This is our favorite restaurant in the entire area. Every year when we come to visit family in Grade we come to this restaurant at least twice for a wonderful meal and to visit the staff. Whatever we eat, it is always perfect. The best!

Dave is the best host. The food is great quality and portions. Dave also has a fine knowledge of wines to enjoy or pair with food. If your in the area to see Mezio park or on the way to Peneda or maybe want to visit Soajo. Drop in for lunch or dinner.

Amazing service and food. All reasonably priced. Would say the best in town, but I only tried this one. Others would need to work hard to beat it though.
