Amazing food! The meat is crazy cool and the salads were with perfect dressing. You can feel that the team is working there for ages and know their job very well. Be careful with main dish. Each of it you can take for 2 people.

Very welcoming atmosphere, the staff was absolutely great, sociable and kind. They also accommodated my requests of a vegan meal and the food was excellent.

Owner and the waiter were extremely friendly and helpful. They have recommended us a local special stake perfect for 2 with vegetables and potatoes. We had an amazing “like a local” dinner with a bottle of local delicious wine and desserts. They are really taking care about keep everything clean and safe.

I would never have guessed that Arcos de Valdevez was home to the restaurant where I would have the best "bitoque" of my life. I was travelling with my boyfriend and we ended up in this village by accident. It turned out to be a great culinary experience and a very cheap one. The service is very familiar and friendly. The food is very well prepared, served in generous portions and very very cheap.

Very very good food! Amazing meat, very well done! Amazing codfish! Tastes like home! Very good price! And Sr. Fernando, the owner, is always nice and kind!
And one last incredible thing: portions are huge and prices are more than fair!

Got there early on a Friday and were shown straight to a table for 4. Really friendly waiter who recommended thr steak. Huge portions and extremely tasty - did not disappoint. All staff were friendly and had a great family atmosphere

Chef Fernandez is the best at what he does, he gave us very special treatment, a memory to last a lifetime

If you want quantity, they have it! If you want quality, they have it! And if you want good service, they also have it, it really is good classic Portuguese restaurant.

Update: I've become a somewhat regular client and in 3 years +/- the quality of their food has remained really good.

Food was extremely tasty and incredibly reasonable for a party of 4 people. We spent a just over €40: this included a main course each, 4 alcoholic beverages, 2 desserts, water and bread and olives. The service was prompt and polite. We would definitely recommend a visit. At this time of year they do use air conditioning, so if you are prone to being cold take a lightweight jacket.

I must say this is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at for quality and value for money I have come back so many times now the house steak is a monster !that is bbq To perfection the House vinho verde wine is the best with real home grown local wine.
If you can’t handle the size you have half portion option or you can all share one.
Fernando the owner is a gentleman and I had a tour of the kitchens downstairs you could eat off the floor. I cannot say enough good things.
Just go and be blown away by the best northern Portugeuse cuisine!!

Coming back to this restaurant for years already, definitely best in town!
Summer season: longer waiting times, but relatable due to the high demand.
