Excellent experience of authentic local cuisine in a family environment with a beautiful view of the Douro. Our baccalieu dish was amazing and our server was extremely helpful and honest about the meal portions being meant to shared.

Great food, lovely environment

If you are in Regua and walk across the pedestrian bridge, you will notice a restaurant just on the other side of it (if you approached the bridge from the train station). That's really a lovely place to have a meal. I went there for lunch and was very happy with my choice. Get ready for big portions and to be fully stuffed at the end... but if you like rich taste and traditional recipes you should really enjoy some excellent food. A big plus is a superb view and setting. Full marks for this place.

The Veal stew / Vitela batata a padeiro (344) is absolutely delicious, it’s like mom’s food, the potatoes are so good and you can cut the meat with a fork. Everything was very tasty. Portions are big as they also bring you extra rice with them. We ordered 3 portions for 4 people but we still had leftover food. The view is stunning.

Restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Duero. Food is very good and plates are very big, are made for sharing.

Fabulous meal. Although they were closing they accommodated us. As a coeliac they understood and recommended safe dishes. The food was incredibly delicious and authentic. Service was great from the waiters even though they were closing and it was their break time. You will love it...oh and great views over the Douro too.

What a terrific restaurant fabulous views of the doro valley The food was fantastic traditional Portuguese food and a lot of it service was beyond excellent our waiter Paulo Roberto was so nice he was so professional friendly courteous and gave us such good service possibly the best service we've had the whole time we're in Portugal Bravo go eat at this restaurant you will not be disappointed between the views the food and the service I would give 10 stars if I could

Went for lunch. Meals are traditional, huge and cheap. Read the reviews about poor service, but didn’t experience any issues. We were polite to them, they were polite towards us. Great views

The food is good and the view magnific

This restaurant has excellent panoramic views across the River Duoro. In common with many Portuguese restaurants every dish is enough for two people, so be careful not to over order.

Whenever I am near Regua I stop by at this restaurant. It doesn't look so special on the outside - but when you enter it, it's a totally different story. Fantastic view towards the bridges and the skyline of Regua. Great service, great food - very reasonably priced. Yes, there might be other restaurants nearby that are more flashy and more fashionable - but here you get the real Portuguese food. Good selection of wines. Parking is sometimes tricky, because the restaurant is located directly at a sharp corner - but so far I was always able to find a parking spot nearby. I love to go her for lunch on weekends and for dinner during the week.
