Very attentive and fast service.
Their traditional sausage is a bit sour. The portion is huge. The sausage comes with delicious freshly made potato chips, rice and green salad.
Soup was also very tasty.

Phenomenal. Yeah, try to speak Portuguese if you can, but English works fine. Octopus and shrimp (be sure to eat the head) actually made me happy. Happy. That never happens. And I live and work with some of the best food in the world. Staff was great, non intrusive but present. Absolutely first class.
And yes, skewered pineapple! Get it. Now.

Absolutely incredible Portuguese food. Highly recommend. The Beazilian traditional food on a spit was something special.

My first visit to Regua. Went in for a Lunch as I saw many people inside.
I ordered 3 traditional dishes, all were delicious, very generous portions, very clean restaurant and very friendly staff. Price was very good. Not to forget great dessert ! A family run establishment. You must visit this restaurant!

I am so glad my taxi driver recommended this place. For the people saying they weren't friendly to Americans.....I am an American with a huge mohawk, and I did not get any eye rolls all I got was super friendly service.

Also a side note to Americans...when foreigners come to the US you complain they don't speak English but you travel to or go to live in other countries and don't learn the language....trying to speak some portuguese goes a very long way...its respect

Excellent place to eat, the staff were very friendly and spoke good English, the house red wine was excellent, the food was very tasty and arrived quickly, an excellent place for lunch

We popped up without reservation but it was not a big deal. A young boy took care of us immediately. We ordered chicken meal and a seafood dish. Both of them were fantastic!
The dinner coupled together with our vine - wine of the house (reserve) made our stay even better. And concerning the price, for that quantity, definitely worth it! recommended!

Unlike what Google says, opens for dinner at 7pm. I wanted to go to River restaurant but they didn't open until 7.30, so ended up here instead. I wanted to eat roasted lamb or goat and their menu has lamb. Unfortunately they were only serving the short day menu.

I ended up with secreto pork (fatty, juicy, tender, delicious) and squid/lulas (2 large squid) with both perfectly home cooked. Secreto was served with sliced potatoes so thin they were like crisps/chips, but clearly freshly made and fried and hot.

If you sit outside, you get a glimpse of the Douro river as the sun sets.

One of the best tasting and value meals in/around Porto.

Huge portions and good home made food. Lamb and grilled cod were amazing. €15 euros each. Bottle of sparking wine was €10.

We walked past this place looking for lunch and it was full so we thought that was a good sign - it was! The food was delicious, we especially loved the Brazilian meat food - pieces of steak on a spit, it was amazing! The service was also incredible, such a good find and would recommend to anyone

Fresh ingredients, cooked well in an unpretentious restaurant. Staff have a reasonable command of English and are friendly. My wife and I arrived about 7 pm, we were the first customers, by the time we left, customers were queuing to get in. Had durada, my wife had salmon, both had small beer, half bottle of wine each, deserts and bread. Price 39 euros.

Fantastic friendly service and really outstanding cooking. Probably the best value for money restaurant on the Douro river. Made two visits for dinner and the service was consistently good. Easy free parking and a couple of decent bars close by for aperitifs.

Great grilled food, pork medallions, secrets and cod were all great. Chips to perfection. Reasonable prices. Want to go back to try the picanha.
