Beautiful foliage and very calm park

Nice quiet park to walk, lots of fresh air and hidden beauty(beautiful Peacock) along the way. Enjoy the warm glow of sunshine through the tall trees.

Fontelo Park is a beautiful park with ancient trees great for jogging or to go with the kids in the morning or during the afternoon. There are circuits where you can walk or run and even a playground for the the kids. Also at the park entry there are several peacocks to welcome you. Viseu is a beautiful city with a lot of parks and gardens but this is the biggest one.

Exceptionnel facilities for leisure and sport. Besides the old oak forest there are tennis courts, football fields, handball and basketball pavillion that can be rented for very little money.

Always a great place for a stroll with your dog or sitting in the quiet cafe for a chat with Sr. Joaquim....

Beautiful park. Lots of trails

Amazing Park with huge variety of trees, a duck pond and all kinds of little trails to go through. You have beautiful pheasants walking around you, amongst other birds you can hear throughout the park. Lots of picnic areas all over, dog friendly (as long as you keep a leash) and a little coffee shop right by the duck pond. Very relaxing 🙂

Fontelo Park is a beautiful park in Viseu. Viseu has a number of very well planned parks. Fontelo is my favourite. One really gets the impression of being in a remote forest with large trees. There are many birds and the beautiful peacocks are something special.

It's a beautiful park, really green and peaceful. The peacocks are the "rock start" of the place, walking around free and side by side with the visitors.
It's a very nice a pleasant place to walk, relax and get in the nature.

Excellent place to take a small walk! Quiet and calm, good for relaxing

Beautiful park, always worth a visit. In all the seasons! A good idea is to ge there at night and look up in the trees ;-). A lot of peacocks can be spotted, nice to hear them as well. If you want to work on your condition, there is a great open air fitness.

Very nice park to visit from mar until November.
Lots of quiet places, water and water birds ..

Great place for kids and playground and beautiful peacocks and ducks for entertainment

Beautiful park, sadly many things were closed do to a cleaning and tidy but you could see the attention to details and tidness of the park and how lovely it was/is. With plenty of animals to see too!

It's a very good Place for a walk

Great place to stay the night in your camper/van. Very quiet place. Market is on tuesdays morning, which is fun to visit and very close by the parking. There is also a WC on the market premisses.

Huge park with lots of green, places to rest/picnic and lots of peacocks to admire 😁
