Gentlemen Restaurante Pizzaria

A must try if you are in the neighbourhood. Excellent and kind service, excellent food (and big portion) and a warm atmosphere for a very reasonable price - this place has it all. Do note the restaurant is usually packed so reservation is advised but even if you just drop by and need to wait some time it is absolutely worth it. We ordered a soup, an appetiser (Gentlemen’s Mix) and the Veal for 2 pax paired with a local red wine - and had probably one of the best dining experiences in Portugal here. Yes, I’m still dreaming about those potatoes..

My wife and I had an incredible pre-wedding meal with nearly 60 guests in Gentlemen restaurant. The staff here were great in helping us coordinate this in the run up to the day and we're absolutely fantastic on the night.
The meal itself was beautiful. Our guests had a set menu with plenty of options to select from, and everyone left raving about their meals.
This place is definitely the best restaurant we tried in the area and we truly couldn't recommend highly it enough!

Probably the best restaurant we ate at in Portugal. And we did..
When you enter a restaurant on a Wednesday noon in mid corona and you're asked if you booked a table, you know that you've made a great choice!!
Wonderful food, great staff and looks like all the locals know it.
We had the oven vegetable tagliatelle and a pizza and they were divine.
Worth the 40 minute drive from our hotel.
Addition - we returned for the 2nd time and were not dissapointed!

Very friendly staff. The food was fantastic! We took the gentelmens selection as starter to share and it was delicious! With some typical Protuguese specialties.
They have a lot of local wines to choose from too. You need to try this restaurant if you’re around.

In Resende with a rooftop to the Douro river this restaurant serves a mixed traditional Portuguese and italian food fusion cousine. Please try Vitela with tagliatelle.

The food was really good and generous ! The ladies were all super nice and helpful! And the price was super affordable. It's worth it!

Excellent food. The cherry on top of the cake was the unexpected beautiful acoustic guitar live music on a Friday evening accompanying the sunset across the valley.

Very friendly service who speaks English. The pasta was delicious. They have about 5 daily dishes + pizza. Even though right at the street, it's quiet, there is almost no traffic and the view is nice.

Very tasty dishes. Cheese, pumpkin jam, polvo, calf... every single meal was a pleasure! The waiters are friendly and react immediately. They prefer cash.

Let's be clear - the restaurant comes across as a normal place on the map, it's NOT.

This is fine dining, made accessible for any pocket who's just lucky enough to come here, to find portions that flirt even with the hungriest. And yet, there's a well planned finness and care to every ingredient, making each compete for your tongue's undevoted attention.

This is the place where shrimps remind you how you always hoped shrimps would taste, but only seldomely get; Where the crispy-skin of the Sea Bass is CRISPY AF; and where the risotto is packed with texture and flavour that makes you feel conciously spoilt for being cranky that it's over.

Easily one of my best meals these past 14 days across north of Portugal. I left with only one thought in mind - how and when do I come back.

During the few days we spent in the region, our host told us to eat there, and we were really pleased, and came back twice.
The food us really great, very generous, staff is really nice.
