Douro à Vista

Very hospitable. Great food and even better wine from the Douro.

When travelling around Portugal on horseback we stopped here to ask for help finding somewhere to camp for the night. The lovely family who run this place bent over backwards to help us out and once sorted, they served us a truly delicious meal. What an amazing place! What a lovely family. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Last Saturday night me and my 8 friends had the privilege to dine at Douro a Vista. The whole night exceeded all our expectations. The restaurant is located on a beautiful hill above the town of Resende. As we were staying at the bottom of the hill we asked if Tiago, the very nice manager of Douro a Vista, could arrange a taxi for us when we came by to reserve a table on Saturday afternoon. He was not only so kind to do so, he even assured as that if he could not arrange a taxi he would pick us up himself. The food and wine we got served were all delicious, ranging from perfectly cooked lamb to very tasty codfish. Douro a Vista also serves a very wide range of great local wines that go well with the food. We were seated at a beautiful roundtable, ideal for groups our size. After we finished our dinner, it was not possible to arrange a taxi back down the hill and so Tiago and one of his colleagues Joao offered to bring us back down in their cars. They all did this out of kindness and refused our offers to pay them for the ride. All in all, I would 10/10 recommend a visit to Douro a Vista, above all because of the friendliness of the staff and the great local atmosphere.

The food is very good and excellent service. One full meal (for 2 person's) costs around 15 to 25 euros depending on the plate. For 4 people I've paid 43€. I will return no doubt.

Comida extraordinariamente saborosa, serviço incrivel e ambiente acolhedor e agradavel! Tudo neste jantar estava divinal, desde os filetes a desfazerem se até à carne super tenra! Também os legumes estavam muito bons e o vinho da casa é divinal.
A única coisa que aponto é a sangria um bocadinho deslavada, mas de resto estava tufo excepcional! Definitivamente um restaurante a não perder nesta zona!

Très beau restaurant niché dans les hauteurs de la vallée du Douro qui nous a été recommandé par notre hôtel Marina and Spa. Pas de vue sur le Douro mais une excellente cuisine préparée avec soin de l'apéritif au dessert nous avons tout apprécié. L'accueil et le service fait par un serveur qui parle un peu français était au top et très professionnel 👌. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le cadre bucolique en terrasse et joliment fleuri 🌸. Bon rapport qualité, copieusement servi et prix correct je recommande vivement.

Após as entradas, foi pedido um prato de picanha de excelente confecção, carne tenra e no ponto, que recomendo.

Todos os colaboradores são extremamente simpáticos tornando o ambiente muito agradável.

O espaço exterior é lindíssimo, com jardim.

Local a voltar, sem dúvida.

Um restaurante que vale a visita! Tivemos o prazer de experimentar alguns dos pratos do menu do Douro à Vista e nenhum decepcionou: tudo feito a perfeição. Além da excelente comida, destaco a equipe, composta por jovens, simpáticos e atenciosos, que tornaram a experiência ainda mais positiva.

Excellent restaurant, un serveur très gentil qui parlait français et a été de très bons conseils. Le repas était plus que délicieux. Nous étions au gîte Casa da Malto qui nous avait recommandé de venir, c’est a quelques mètres. Nous recommandons à 100% ce restaurant, nous avons passé un très bon moment et vraiment très bien mangé (un ++ pour le riz, qui est un régal).

Restaurante de excelência em Resende, onde o "cabrito é rei".
Localizado num alto, com vista para o rio e para as serras, tem bom serviço e excelente atenção ao cliente. Com uma boa lista de vinhos, temos na Terra da Cavaca e da Cereja, mais um local de excelência para degustar muitas iguarias...

Gostei muito do restaurante. O staff muito simpático. Os pratos pedidos bem confecionados, de preço acessível, e as sobremesas no ponto. O espaço que envolve o edifício é muito agradável, com vista para o rio Douro. Parque de estacionamento grande. Tenho ideias de voltar.
