Quinta da Pacheca

I visited Quinta da Pacheca for a wine tasting and small tour, and did not stay at the hotel. The tasting experience was fantastic. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who delivered it, but he was excellent. I learned so much during that 60-90 minutes, it was amazing. And I was able to taste a large variety of wines, which were all very good. After learning so much, I ended up having a handful of wines shipped back home and will be aging a Vintage Port for 15-20 years. I've ordered additional wine from them since I've been home and I look forward to going back there the next time I'm in the Douro Valley.

Excellent, although it is expensive I really liked the overall experience. The staff is very, very, I mean very good. They don't make you feel home, they make you feel in a five star hotel. I don't recommend bringing kids here, even though they will probably do everything to please them, it isn't a hotel for kids. Definitely worth a visit.

I had the most amazing experience staying here, it was absolutely perfect. I visited in December and it wasn't crowded or full of tourists, which is ideal. You can walk the grounds and the free wine tour/tasting was delicious (and definitely over poured). The spa was wonderful and one of the best massages I've had. They set up so many tours for us and there are so many wineries and restaurants nearby - you definitely need to get out of the hotel and enjoy. I would recommend renting a car to explore around the area and staying for three full nights to fully experience the hotel and surroundings in the Duoro Valley.

This is likely the best place to taste wines in the whole area. Amazing (!) selection especially when factoring in the super low price, coupled with detailed explanations, and breathtaking views. Pedro made our time amazing. Look for him - he really knows how to best take you through this wine journey

Our first stop in the douro Valley on the way to our place. Really cool scenic winery with great hospitality and fair prices. We opted for only one port since we ain't the biggest fans. The single grape sousão was our favorite. Nicely done and this grape seems not to be around at many other places.

As a wedding photographer I have the opportunity to visit some of the best wedding places in the world and La Quinta da Pacheca is definitely one of them. Located right into one of the finest Douro valley vineyard this place as something magical for your Portuguese wedding. The surroundings are lovely and the rooms are really high standard and offer all the comfort you need. Let’s not forget the swimming pool and the little cabins where you can sleep into the vineyard. If you are getting married there, I would love to come back and be by your side.

Fully equipped big barrel room, very comfortable with many great interior designs. The dinner and breakfast at the restaurant is amazingly good. Unforgettable trip to the winery! The only downside is the soundproofing wasn't good enough and therefore you will hear noises when your neighbors are loud.

Great winery , staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Had some of the best Porto here . Smaller family owner winery , has lot of character and charm

Very classy hotel/winery featuring a 4-star restaurant, wine bar on a gorgeous and convenient location. We loved everything about it but the staff deserve six stars for their always upbeat demeanor and courtesy.

Winery restaurant offering delicious fine dining tasting menu with wine pairing experience. It was unique, and the food and the high quality wine were one of a kind experience! Do keep in mind that it is pricy, but if you get a chance to explore all the winery has to offer in terms of their own produced wine and their unique cuisine, give it a try!

We did the wine tasting and olive picking experience and it’s was perfect. The location and estate is breathtaking and very well managed, the food is delicious, the chef is very talented and most importantly the staff went above and beyond our expectations to make the experience a success even if the weather did not allow for the outdoor segment of the experience. We didn’t know it included lunch and we informed them at last minute about being a vegetarian the chef made an excellent effort to recreate all 4 courses suitable for vegetarian and it was all absolutely fabulous. Due credits to Fabio for making the olive picking experience enjoyable and entertaining inspite of the heavy rains.

I visited for 1 night and stayed in one of the wine barrel rooms. The whole experience was amazing. A shame that we only stayed 1 night. The staff was welcoming and accommodating-we arrived early and needed to store luggage/wait for our tour guide. This place is a gem!

We loved our stay here. The room was fantastic and the restaurant was good. We also did their wine tasting/grape stomping experience. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds.

The meals were fabulous! Of course we had a wonderful bottle of wine. The service was excellent. Our meal here was the highlight of our stay here in Portugal.
Quinta da Pacheca is a must experience stop while you are in Portugal!

We did a tour with wine pairing and cheese. Hugo was enthusiastic and engaging and provided just the right level of detail. For the tasting they provided some on their mid to top tier drinks ( wine and port) which we appreciated. Thank you Hugo. We walked away with a 30 year old Port and will save it for the marriage of our son and soon to be daughter in law's wedding. Will recommend this tour and Quinta to others.

Food was perfectly cooked, we had the cod and lamb, and both were absolutely amazing.
Starters both very very good as well.
We went with a voucher gift, a meal for two, the wine pairing was good, but I would expect to be served wine more unique, as in the wine that I don’t buy at the supermarket, and the first pairing wine was one of the most common one from Pacheca. Good wine obviously, but the common one.
Service and staff were faultless, attentive, knowledgeable a pleasure!

Stayed two nights in the classic hotel portion of quinta and was worth every penny. Restaurant was amazing, both breakfast and dinner. Used the spa and pool amd highly recommend spending a sunset in the pool sipping some port tonic. The property is beautiful and staff goes well beyond. Restaurant staff service can be a bit spotty but the quality of the food makes up for it. Christiana in the concierge is the best and helped us organize our 2 days with ideas and reservations. Would definitely book a winery tour and wine tasting as this was a highlight of the trip. Side trips to Lamego and Pinhao are a must.

This place is so picturesque! We stopped by as part of a tour of Douro Valley. We are not big wine drinkers so we just wanted to visit a vineyard and have a tour. They were able to accommodate us and our tour guide gave us a tour of the grounds. It had really well maintained grounds, gift shop, and various out amenities. On our next trip here, we plan to spend a few days here. Just gorgeous!

A beautiful stay at Quinta da Pacheca. We stayed in a wine barrel room that was amazing and quiet. The breakfast at the room was so good and staff was very nice. Location is stunning and the pool great. Really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended!
