The best wine testing ever. Our Host Orlando told us everything about the production of wine, answered all the stupid questions and created a relaxed atmosphere:)
Vine was also great!
And the Quinta itself just an amazing place, beautiful landscape.

This is one of the most idyllic and special wineries I have visited. We drove a bit more than 1hr and it was totally worth it! The wineries, information, wines, and the terraces were just magnificent. Orlando welcomed us and provided a private tour of the premises and we stayed more than two hours in total enjoying the quietness and shade of the lovely terrace. If you have time just for one winery visit, I would definitely advise to go for the Quinta de Covela!

Honestly could not have had a better experience, everything was pure magic! Janaina was the perfect host and the Quinta is absolutely beautiful. We went for the Gran wine tasting, trying 6 different wines + Porto extra tasting. We also ordered 2 platters which made the full experience amazing. It was so peaceful and mesmerising, thank you for having us!

We came earlier than our reservation time and the staff were very welcoming. The tour was done by Mr. Smith and he’s amazing. He explained everything and it was all very interesting. We learned so many things. And the wines taste great and with such good quality! We chose the package with 6 wines + cheese board for 2. The cheese board and bread was worth it and a perfect choice to have with the wines. Very reasonable price. You really get what you pay for. Good quality products. The place is very charming and very well maintained. I strongly recommend this wine tasting experience. The overall tour was very personalised. Thanks to Mr. Smith. Would love to come back when we get the chance to visit Douro again and hopefully with some friends/family. If I could give 6stars I would.

One of the top highlights of our visit to Porto; Quinta de Covela is the most beautiful winery in the Douro region. The grounds are gorgeous and impeccably maintained. The history is quaint. Although the wine is pretty good, visit Covela to feed your soul and check the box that you have seen one of the most beautiful places on this planet. If you venture to the Douro, do not miss visiting Covela.

Beautiful location for an interesting and personal wine tour and tasting. Our host (Jana) was very engaging and informative about the winery and the wines. Be sure to reserve in advance as the tours are conducted individually just for you/your group. Our accommodation host organised this for us and we are glad she did.

Lucked out and got a last minute reservation. The tour was just our group of 8. It was a much more personal experience with a small group. Highly recommend making a reservation here. Orlando was fantastic.

The quality of the wine was only exceeded by the beautiful property and views. Loved hearing about the history and the dedication to organic and sustainable grape growing. Highly recommend!

A really good and knowledable guide showed us the wine making process from soil to corking of the bottles. We were a group of 5 and the interaction with the guide was really entertaining and interesting.
During the tasting of the wines the really fun began. Every single wine had its special traits, and the discussions continued.
The guide, breathtaking views of the surroundings, really good wines together with plates of cold cuts and cheese made this an amazing experience!!!
To top it all, the price was really reasonable. Five stars for sure!!!

This beautiful location was very good value at 25 euro pp. Book ahead though. It includes a tour of the vineyard and 5 tasting wines. Very informative thanks to Orlando!

What an amazing experience we had at Quinta de Covela!
We we lucky enough to spend a few hours with Tony, who gave us the most interesting of tours followed by a fantastic wine tasting. The quinta is gorgeous, the wine is phenomenal and the owners are truly passionate.. what more do you want? Highly recommend, thanks again Tony and hope to see you again soon!

Excellent visit. We made a last-minute reservation, and Quinta de Covela was able to fit our party of 8 (6 adults, 2 kids) in for a tour and tasting. Orlando took great care of us. If you're looking for a small-scale vineyard and wine producer with beautiful grounds, this is a great choice. Reservations are not explicitly required but strongly recommended.

We've received a private tour in the Covela winery by Orlando, who proved to be a very hospitable and knowledgeable guide.

We called on a Sunday morning and received confirmation that we could go a couple hours later. This winery is all about intimate experiences and prefers small groups over large amounts of people.

The wines were amazing - they won the award for winemaker of the year 2023 - and scenery was great.

I would definitely recommend coming here if you want to have a personal and intimate wine experience in a beautiful domain.
