Food and service are impeccable! It’s on a street fill of restaurants. Really agreeable to sit outdoors. The starters are a little pricy considering the portion. The mains are of a great quality price ratio. Absolutely recommend!

Delicious food, wonderful dining experience. The staff is very professional, friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful from start to finish. They have a nice menu with a good selection. We shared our food, as we don't eat a lot, thus the bill was less than you may expect. You'll most likely dine outside, which is rather pleasant. This restaurant is very popular and has a well-deserved reputation as one of the best in Funchal.

I strongly recommend that you dine here, you won’t be disappointed. In fact, we loved this restaurant and I think you will too. Compliments to the chef and the entire staff for a memorable fine dining experience. It’s the way all restaurants should be.

It was our first meal in Madeira.
We ate outside, the food was delish. We had local specialities and we were not disappointed! The "garlic" bread and the lapas : very tasty and quite big portions as well. Then we had the octopus and the regional skewer. I personally felt for the meat, it was amazing. I was less convinced by the octopus but my friend loved it. Finally we had the moelleux with ice cream 🍦 great dessert!
The service was great, the waiters were very friendly and kind (I was very clumsy, dropped my knife and spilled my drink on the table... They changed the table clothe and didn't seem annoyed (very sorry for that again)). Great restaurant!

We had an excellent dinner experience here. The food - mainly fish and seafood - was very fresh and tasty and the whole crew - and especially the boss - were doing a great job by entertaining the whole crowd!

Absolutely excellent place. Very kind owner, dancing around the tables, making jokes, singing, recommending what to try and overall creating a great atmosphere. Food was delicious (meat on skewer was bit on a chewier side, but otherwise excellent) and O highly recommend their gin tonic with passion fruit.

Delicious food - we had the paella and the traditional beef skewer. All so delicious and the owner is such a character that really made the experience. Would highly recommend for traditional food at a reasonable price.

I went twice this week since it was so outstanding. What a staff, helpful, friendly and do knowledgeable. But the food is over the top. Amazing is an understatement. The flavours where unbelievable..food was served hot. You are really missing a great experience if you don't go. I am going back.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. She was very patient to explain dishes to us. The food was delicious, fish, limpets, squid, sweet potato, vegetables, and bread with garlic! Every dish was flavorful.
They are currently doing discounts on some of the dishes because of the pandemic, I suppose. So the whole meal was very high in value for money!

Nice and friendly service. The mussels were the best ones I had in Madeira. A special dish out of the menu was specifically made for my vegetarian friend

Delicious bolognese, scabbard fish and bolo de caco. Very friendly service - very accommodating of my allergy and helped us cope with the heat!

I absolutely loved this place! The only thing I regret is we found this gem on our last night in Madeira.
The food was exquisite and I loved the drinks. But what was the best part of the experience was the service! Luis was so funny and together with his colleague made our last night so much more special!
I absolutely recommend this to anyone who visits Funchal. Best seafood in the city, and service and hospitality at its finest.

Excellent quality and value. Tuna is usually overcooked on madeira but not here. The octopus was also 😍 and the wine recommendation was bang on

The place is nice, the food is amazing and the service is 10/10. Waiters very gentle! We got the Salmon on the Stone and the Beef Wellington, both outstanding. Me and my girlfriend have been on a lot of restaurants through Europe, but this one is above the average for sure.

We had read about Regional Flavours as a must-visit in Lonely Planet so made it our last meal out in Madeira as a treat. Due to a full day of hiking and adventuring we did not make reservations and walked right up. No surprise, on a Saturday night, they were full when we arrived, however the host immediately pulled out another table and sat us right down outside. The service was quick and warm. They recommended a stellar white wine blend from Alentejo, and the Scabbard fish and Espetada blew our minds (we had already had these at other restaurants in town, here they were by far the best). Don't overlook the pineapple flambe for dessert, which also was spectacular. The staff is so friendly we felt like we genuinely connected with them and made friends. I felt the prices were fair and on par with other highly rated restaurants in town. 5/5 stars, this place is the real deal!

Our daughter told us about this street being restaurant street. We were strolling through with no thoughts of eating when we noticed a menu of the day for €6.50. Nowt to lose and opportunity to keep out of the bars for an hour. Sat outside in the cool shade. Boss had Dorads ( sea bream.) I had tuna salad. Both very good. Coffee included. Wine extra. Great way to live. Ic and Flic are the two yellow people. They get lots of positive comments.
