We had the fish soup as the starter and it was delicious! One of the best fish soup I had, taste just nice. Our mains were seafood rice and Scabbard fish with caramelised banana. Seafood rice looks simple, but flavourful! Generous amount of clams and octopus bits. Fish portion is big, and the banana is a must try!! Price is reasonable and affordable, overall a pleasant experience :) worth the try!

I don't know why this place has only 4.0 review, as it is greatly located place, with really amazing staff taking care of you and one of the best food we ate on Madeira. We ordered scabbard fish with banana, house sandwich and regional style roasted beef. The portions are big and food was really good. Highly recommend the place

During our stay in Porto Moniz we ate here twice. Tomato onion soup is very tasty and the fish dishes come in big portions and are absolutely delicious (try the tuna!). Very fairly priced too!

AMAZING! I would fly from London just to have their Madeiran seafood soup! Wine food pairing was excellent. Food is served by people who love their village, ocean, fish and LOVE to eat! Obregado!

Very nice food for a good price in this location. We recommend Fish mixed grill or Tuna steak. We taste Sea food with rice too, it was very big portion and many kinds of sea food (shrimps, muscles...).

Had the classic portuguese cuisine arroz de marisco here and the portion was very generous!

Food was good fast and authentic.
Scabbard fish with bananas and veg was delicious as expected.
Limpets were big and juicy and clean.
Beef and chips and gravy was flavourful.

Recommended, if you want to try original madeiran food not in a touristic way :) food is tasty, portions are big (it's not an adventage for me, just a fact), meals served quick. Maybe it is not the most climatic restaurant, but still, highly recommended.

Very good value for money - ordered a tomato salad and an omelette with shrimps. Both dishes were spot on. The best dishes I have had on Madeira so far...
