One of the best bakeries for Pastel de nata in Madeira!
First stop for breakfast, lots of options and low prices. You can also order your own sandwiches that are freshly made.

Best place to eat breakfast or dinner, to drink coffee or something stronger in Machico. Great prices for quality. They serve cakes, sandwiches, diner sets and many other meals. Came there on our first day of holiday and visited them on every other day for 7 days!

The octopus salad with eggs, and fresh bread, was the best breakfast in Madeira. Update: we came back 3 times more, no other place had such a good bread

Delicious food, flavourful coffee and all for very low prices. Maximal value with all of their offerings. Freshly made daily and the service was also great

Finally, a good review for a great place.

Pitada De Fada has been my best food experience in Machico so far.

For visitors, the menu is clearly posted and all the employees serving spoke English well and that really helped us as we are struggling to speak Portuguese.

We enjoyed the scrumptious Prato do Dia, Chinezas (Coffee with Milk), Pastel de Nata and fresh bread. My absolute favorite was the octopus which can be served as a salad or a sandwich. As one person wrote, this is my favorite Breakfast in Machico.

I can highly recommend this local bakery - great vibes and honest service. When I dropped something in the bakery, one of the the servers kindly picked it up for me and made sure she found me to give it back to me.

It's these little gestures that mean so much and help me see how it is part of the community. On Sunday, many locals were gathered here (I'm assuming after mass and there was even a DJ setting up). The only place busier was the supermarket - Pingo Doce!

Already been back here twice and hoping to try more delicious food!

To honest reviews, I can honestly say this place ranks high on my list.

Best Pastel de Nata I've tried (Great custard and pastry)
Great fresh bread
Good Value Prato do Dia options

My fiancee and I stayed in Machico for one week at the end of October 2019 and used this local bakery/café on 4 occasions for either lunch or coffee and cake. What a brilliant find! A lovely, clean cafe with friendly staff, some of whom spoke quite good English, serving local food, all of which is made on the premises. The food and drinks were all excellent. The service was excellent. The experience of sitting in a cafe mainly used by locals was excellent. And the prices..... 60-70% less than the uk. Amazing value! This cafe is not on the seafront and you won't be surrounded by other tourists but you will be really pleased you went.

Really nice place. We went there to get some lunch and ate sandwiches with their freshly baked bread. But you can also eat warm meals, or just come for a coffee. Food is very good, cakes delicious and the prices are really cheap. If you're around, just go for it!!! 😉

Excellent bakery & coffee bar. I was in this shop most mornings to pick up the fresh bread. It was always busy first thing as a lot of people were in for coffee and breakfast.
