Everything went smooth, they asked us for an upgrade but kindly declined. Got a wonderful volkswagen polo with carplay/android auto. The car was in excellent condition and nicely clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful, not a single hiccup. Make sure to take pictures and videos before rental to prevent any troubles when you hand it in.

We rent a car from MadeiraRent and they had the most attractive prices. We rent a Fiat 500 Cabrio, it worth it. The procedure was fast and what I liked the most is that we had the return flight at 6AM and there wasn't any problem with returnig the car at that time. They gave us instructions, we came, left the car and go home.

I have to admit it was one of my best experiences in terms or renting a car. Polite staff, quick procedure, car in perfect condition.

The only negative aspect was how the tried to upsell a more expensive model. I did not like that.

Renting a car abroad is always a stressful experience for me, because my family had been badly scammed once on the past, but luckily this company seems to be fair and reliable. We get Renault Captur with mileage less than 24k km. Car was nice, clean and has enough power for steep roads of Madeira. For our baby we get child seat made by Chicco. I belive it was Chicco Cosmos- fastened by seat belt (not ISOFIX) and rated by ADAC as safe (although I didn't check exact rate). Overall, I am really happy with this rental.

Rented a car from Madeira Rent when we had a holiday on the island recently. Efficient service, polite and friendly. I think we even got an upgrade on the car, which was very clean inside and out and we even managed to reset the SatNav to English. A few very minor paint chips and one small dent were all logged before we took the car over; no problems at all when returning it and the insurance security deposit (a 'block' on our credit card) was cleared without any quibble. If I have one comment to make, it's that all the documentation was in Portugese - for visitors from elsewhere it would be helpful to have documentation in (in our case) English. Overall, we'd be very happy to hire a car from Madeira Rent again.

Easily one of the best car rental experiences I’ve had. It was a bit of a walk up to the rental centre, but once there it could not be smoother.

The person at the counter quickly walked through booking and our car was ready and waiting, he was really friendly and polite. We were in and out so quickly without lots of paperworks and hassles. It really brightened our experience, compared to the usual car hire experience of waiting for ages and then just wanting to get out.

We got Volkswagen T-Roc SUV model and The car was almost new, clean and modern, and joyfull to drive around the beautiful island.

I would highly recommend to rent car with them when you are in Madeira and we are looking forward to renting regularly from Madeira Rent during our time here!

Excellent experience. Quick and helpful pickup when we arrived at Madeira airport. Our Seat Ibiza FR was almost brand new, very clean with a nice interior and great audio system (Apple Carplay integration was fantastic). We used it to get us to the hiking starting points and it was a great drive on the steep Madeira mountain roads, something some cars from other rental companies clearly struggled with as we passed them by on the way up. The return process was effortless: park the car and return the keys at the small office at the end of the parking lot. We treated the car with respect, made sure to take off our muddy hiking shoes outside of the car to keep it clean and felt recognized when we received clean bill of health before we could even check our bags in at the airport minutes later. Would definitely use again when visiting Madeira!

Straight after flight without a reservation it was very easy to rent a car from Madeira rent. Low price with full coverage. Very happy customer here!
