We hired straight away through their website and took full coverage for a week and we had the perfect service. We got a perfectly clean car, basically new with only 22k kilometers and 2/3 minor scratches.

Once we arrived for pickup we got a trainee to help us and he was just amazing. He was friendly, did a great job and helped us fast. Of-course his coach was there to help him and was as nice.

On return we got the same trainee helping us return the car, wrote down that we had no new damage and the deposit for keys and documents of 300 was also immediately returned.

All by all good service, quick arrangement and friendly staff. Recommend to rent your car here!

The whole process of collection and returning the car was very good. We were given a thorough briefing on the car. The agent was also careful to ensure what level of insurance we had, as we did not take their own extra cover. He was also keen to ensure we took a video of the vehicle before leaving.
Returning the car was equally straightforward. All round very good.

We recently hired a car from Madeira Rent for 1 week. The rental process was hassle-free from booking in the UK to picking up the keys at Funchal Airport, big thank you to Gonçalo Freitas for helping us at the desk. Also thank you to Vanessa & Fábio - we were lucky enough to get an upgrade!

The car we got was basically brand new at only 5000km and very clean. Features were explained to us and we were on our way within a couple of minutes to explore the beautiful island! On the return, again a very simple process of dropping the car off in the same parking lot, and after a quick check we were off on our way.

The best way to get around is by car and we highly recommend booking through Madeira Rent.

We will definitely be booking again on our next visit to Madeira.

Madeira Rent was an excellent choice for our rental car on Madeira! The staff were attentive and helpful. Our rental was clean and beautiful. We didn’t know how to back up on incline using the parking break & within 20 minutes they had a staff member come to us in Funchal in the late evening to help us! The staff is very nice. The pick up and drop off was very uncomplicated and only took 10-15mins. The car was very nice and we enjoyed all the trips we made! We will definitely come back to Madeira and rent the car here again!

Booked and paid a small car for five days. Because of a cancelled flight I delayed 36 hours to pick it up. The company gave me a massive upgrade for free, a brand new premium car. The communication was excellent. Highly recommended.

Madeira Rent exceeded our expectations. We had a problem with our rental car on the last day of our trip and Mr Gonçalof came to us within a few minutes and was able to solve our problems.

I have rented a lot of cars during my life, but I have never ever had a better service than Madeira Rent! I recently rented a car from Madeirarent for a week during my trip to Madeira, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.
First and foremost, the car I rented was absolutely amazing, I spoke with them on Instagram before my trip to ask if they have a Cupra car and they offered me a brand new Cupra car with only 3000 km on the odometer!

Staff were friendly, professional and accommodating m, even accepting drop-off near end of their lunch break.

Convenient location near our hotel (Savoy NEXT).

Car had few driveability niggles but was decent for travelling around Funchal.

We took Audi A3. It was great, very comfortable and powerful enough for any climbs. Quite compact at the same time. Service was good. I would definitely rent the same car from them again.

Without a reservation a car has been prepared within several minutes. The car was clean, good conditioned with all a modern features.

I ordered a car through the economycarrentals aggregator from Madeira Rent for delivery to the hotel (Caniço city). Ordered for 4 days, category C1, received Seat Ibiza. I took with full insurance.

The car was very good, there were no problems. Very polite and pleasant staff, who handed me the car in the hotel park. We looked at the car with him, signed the documents, I paid the rent + deposit and I got the keys.

There were no "problems" after the delivery of the car. The deposit was returned the same day I returned the car. Left the keys at the hotel reception.

I recommend the company. If we return to Madeira, we rent a car from this company.

Received a very good car, both the toddler seat and the baby seat were installed properly and a great service from Fabio.

We recently hired a car through Madeira Rent and the whole process was seamless. Our flight on the way out was delayed but they kindly waited so we were able to collect the car and our flight out was in the early hours so they told us exactly how to return the car using the key deposit box. We would definitely recommend and use again during our next trip :)

Madeira Rent is the best car rental company we found in Madeira. Their praces are fair, they do not charge a young driver fee, and with full insurance you don’t need to leave any deposit. They’ll even wait for you if your flight arrives at night (like our did at 1:30am). The car itself was clean, new (1200 km), and overall in a perfect shape. Would recommend to anyone and if we ever come back, we will choose Madeira Rent again.

I am very satisfied with Madeira Rent. I made a booking online, at the airport Madeira Rent is present among other car rental companies (be careful - it's already before the COVID19 control). Mrs Jessica was kind, gave me all informations and did not insist on any additional costs (that's why I have chosen Madeira Rent to be honest...). The way to the parking is a bit tricky (go outside of airport, cross the street, go to escalator level +1, on level +1 follow the corridor in the direction to the ocean, take another escalator at the end to level -4. Parking is behind the escalator). The fuel policy is: same level you get, same you return. As usual. The car was new - Renault Clio (class economy). I was able to get anywhere I want with this car. It's good for 2 people but it has little space in the back for another passenger. Too small if you travel as 3-4 adults.
No problems with the car after the rental have finished. Money on my credit card was blocked for extra week but it was the bank's fault, not Madeira Rent 😉
