a magnificent view that is absolutely worth a stop if you are passing close by. Take a moment to enjoy the landscape and contemplate the sea from this observatory.

The views were truly breathtaking, my daughter thought it looked like a green screen as it didn't look real. Highly recommend getting there to take in the views.

Great views on the northern shore

Beautiful viewing point of the north side of the island. If you are near this point you should take a look, it is the most impressive observation platform in the vicinity. You can see very far along the coastline and over the sea. There are a few benches where you can sit down and enjoy the view for a few minutes. The observation platform is in a corner in the road, you can park alongside the road.

Easily my favorite viewpoint in the entire island. Super quiet, beautiful view, not as popular for tourists and easy parking.
If you see any clouds, give them a few minutes and watch them disappear. And if you don't... well, just wait and see what happens!

a beautiful place for a lookout, where you can see the cliffs and the ocean, the sun sets behind you nicely, so everything has an interesting and romantic atmosphere, a little way from here there is a well-known photo spot (barrel bench), we didn't miss our aunt 👍 really nice place for a photographic memory from Madeira

Lovely spot for a sunset too, it sets behind a mountain, so be there few minutes earlier than the official sunset time (I’ve visited in March).

Surreal scenery. With the sunlight behind the mountains we get a mind blowing landscape that is literally out of this world 💖 this is one of those places that reminds us that heaven exists here on Earth 🌍 truly magical 🪄

Great place for a 30-minute stop during the "golden hour" or sunset. Beautiful view with a town below. Parking is close to the balcony and has a lot of spots. There are not so many tourists. It's definitely worth your time. If you have to choose beetwen Miradouro do Cabo Girão or this spot, it could be more peaceful, not crowded place.

This is a MUST visit in Madeira, one of the best views I've ever seen in my life! 😍

We stumbled across this place whilst driving to the next tourist stop and it was well worth the stop. Gorgeous views and the air felt so clean and fresh, absolutely breathtaking.

I probably enjoyed this place more than the skywalk, it was so quiet, fresh and just so peaceful.

The view is out of this world... You're on Madeira so at this viewpoint you will also find enough parking spots for everybody and a few seats to relax and enjoy the view - all for free.

Absolutely stunning viewpoint! We visited 3-4 different view points on the day but this was the best with spectacular 180deg view of the ocean. Definitely worth the trip from Funchal!

Outstanding long views westwards all the way along the north coast of the island. We came here on a coach trip and stopped to take photographs.
