Castelo Branco, Faial

A gem of a find tucked away from the main road. We feasted on delicious mussels, prawns, baby clams, octopus and fish. Great chips too. Very friendly and helpful owner. Will be back.

Freundlicher Wirt, gemütliches Lokal, Essen war recht gut und die Portionen sättigend.

Kleines, verstecktes und einziges Restaurant in Castelo Branco. Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ohne Reservierung locker einen Platz bekommen. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut. Zudem gab es sättigende Portionen zu anständigen Preisen. Speziell die Getränke dort sind preiswert. Empfehlung!

Très belle découverte au hasard d’une arrivée tardive à Faial. Des assiettes très généreuses, des plats locaux gourmands, et une attendance d’habitués.

Patron très sympa qui nous a gentiment dépannés pour le petit-déjeuner du lendemain en nous donnant du pain et du beurre dans une boîte !

Contrairement à certains autres commentaires nous n’avons pas trouvé le service lent ni désagréable, bien au contraire.

Attention n’accepte pas les cartes de paiement non-portugaises, comme pas mal de commerces sur l’île. Penser à venir avec du cash.

Ondanks dat het restaurant bomvol zat met een grote familie die iets te vieren had, werden wij gastvrij ontvangen met een dikke glimlach. Dan is de eerste ster al binnen toch? Zelfbediening langs een buffet met werkelijk heerlijk vlees. Koffie en een plak ijstaart toe. Simpel met vlag en wimpel!

Wir waren leider knapp in der Zeit, bekamen trotzdem sehr guten und freundlichen Service und ich einen überraschend guten Pulpo.
