Main : 1) carne da noite
2) picanha ( rump steak )
All goes with side salad and beans + rice
! BIG PORTIONS!
+ Bottle of wine + 2 deserts
( ~70€ for 2 . Bottle of wine 20€)

Came here for the first time and try the slow cooked dishes, they are amazing. Next day came back for the octopus and this blew my mind, it comes with some of the tastiest onions in this world. Hidden gem!

The locals know this place, as you would not know it otherwise. I went there and from outside it is a normal house in an area you would not expecta restaurant. It was weekend and I had no reservation but they been kind to appoint me a table. The menu is very local and most dishes are slow cooked. All dishes are totally fresh and have been excellent and very big portions. The service waa very friendly. They got a large room with open fire place and some small roofs, where the interior is a bit minimalistic, but the food is worth visiting.
Finally, pries more than reasonable. Excellent quality for that price.

First time for me and my girlfriend and we absolutely enjoyed a lot ! We make reservation with the fork app, and the employees was amazing for us , thank you very much, and we will go back there again! Thank you for the lunch, food amazing 😁😁

Very delicious local food. I can recommend the rump steak and the rabbit meat. A great meal after a long hike.

Easily the best food on the whole island, maybe even the best food I've ever had. Great service and surprisingly empty on a Thursday night. Great selection of delicious wines and the osso boco was so outrageously good that I finished all the sauce with a spoon. Might have cried a little.

Generous, delicious portions homeccoked farm to table meal. Pleasant atmosphere and staff. Extensive wine selection and craft beer.

This is lovely little place. I would imagine it’s even better when the fire is lit. The waitress was very friendly. The food is hearty and simple.

A little treasure. Go for the “SLOW COOKED ON OUR FIREPLACE” if you want to have the full experience of what Madeira has to offer.

Delicius, tasty and fresh food. We ordered the pork meat with wine and the octopus. Both really good. It's a place for locals.

Delicious Madeiran cuisine, extremely generous portions and low prices! Absolutely worth a visit. I had the goat and my partner had the cod, both were delicious. We also highly recommend getting the mix of local starters, all were delicious. Best meal of our holiday.

A remote location, but definitely worth the trip! The restaurant serves authentic Portuguese and Madeiran food with fast and friendly service.

After almost a week in Madeira I found a really authentic place, homemade food, local product. No tourist trap. Price really soft according to the quality…
Will you be around do not hesitate, from starter to dessert you will enjoy the local kitchen and see something really local…
Under rated in my opinion
Unforgotable place

We arrived a bit early (and off season) so the place was still quiet but we loved it. Very traditional-looking setting, food was amazing, wine too and service as well. We had a lovely evening and a good chat with the owner who explained their slow cooking technique to us. We will definitely go again!

The "festival" of regional foods starter is really good and so were the steaks we've had. An ideal restaurant if you're on your way to or coming down from Pico Ruivo. Prices are fine in my opinion, especially for the starters.
