Good quick snack, very good Bolo Da Caco (recommend Prego Special!) and fair prices. Service not very talkative, but I am here for food and not for entertainment. Recommend!

Lovely coffee, and only $1.20, best we had in Madera and at bargain price. Great bolo de caco, prego normal ( beef) and prego special.
We went back later for another coffee and huge custard slice cake ,

Great if you are looking for a cheap option for lunch/dinner. Food was good, can recommend this place.

The food I got here was better then in my 5 stars hotel in Funchal.

Stopped here randomly to get a quick bite and it turned out to be delicious and the highlight of our whole visit to the area. The owner is kind and service is quick. I have the Chicken sandwich and my wife had the Tuna sandwich. We both thought the sandwiches were super delicious and even contemplated opening our own restaurant with the same sandwiches. Needless to say, we are big fans of the food, and the staff/service. Must stop, it’s a 5/5 for me!

Stopped at Santana on our East Madeira trip and found this brilliant Snack bar. We had 3 Chinesa coffees and 2 tune and mayonnaise on local bread, absolutely delicious and great coffee. 2 lovely and helpful ladies will explain their menu and if you decide to sit outside it is in the sun. Also worth mentioning is the very clean toilet.

When we came no one was sitting outside which makes you feel WHY? the opposite place seemed busy although bit touristy to us so we went here to give it a try and it was a good try! The Club sandwich was definitely our favorite one and one of the best I have had in a very loong time. After some time the place also started to be crowded. Give it a try, it is absolutely worth the visit! :)

The traditional bread with garlic was perfect.

Great little bakery and snack bar with fresh home-made food opposite the tourist-built A-frame houses and the market square. Try the sandwiches with Bolo de Caco bread made on site. Great value for money, EUR 15.90 for 3 sandwiches and three drinks. Don't bother going to the busy expensive restaurants, eat here.

We had a very nice lunch here. Club sandwich is definitely our favorite!!

The best Pastel de nata. You should try it with cinnamon. Very good.

Wygląda niepozornie :) ale ... No właśnie 😎 zamówiliśmy bolo do caco na pełnym wypasie . Porcja ogromna. Spokojnie można uznać to za obiad a cenowo bardzo odpowiednio dwie buły coca cola i herbata około 18Euro .bardzo polecam

Fantastisch, einfach superlecker, ich träume jetzt noch Wochen später vom Bolo de Caco “Prego Normal”. Wir mussten etwas länger auf unser Essen warten, aber das war nicht schlimm. Es bringt Spaß dort in der Sonne zu sitzen und sich das Geschehen auf der Straße anzugucken.
