Such a peaceful and gorgeous cemetery. Another highlight in our Porto trip.
People will eventually find their own peace here, either with the religion or the cute cats.

Peaceful, well maintained with architecturally notable tombs, trees and shrubs, and a colony of feral cats.

This was the highlight of my trip. What a beautiful and exceptional cemetery. I recommend everyone comes here. A lot of cats hanging around, they seem taken care of, which is good.

One of the most beautiful and intricate cemeteries I've ever visited. You can feel the love, respect, and honor among those buried here and their family and friends.

Very different from a cemetary in Belgium. It looks like a group of small churches instead of graves. In some of them you can see the coffins. Also very clean.

i really loved the place, those majestic tombs and the chapel are mesmerising and so peaceful. great scalptures, lots of plants and benches. some graves looked more like small houses or tiny victorian mansions - i had such a good time there.

Wunderschöner, alter Friedhof mit tollen Gräbern und vielen kleinen Mausoleen. Eines schöner als das andere. Ein Besuch lohnt sich. Man entdeckt so vieles. Auch Friedhofskatzen. Ich war ganz früh morgens dort, kurz nach Sonnenaufgang. Herrliches Licht und wunderbare Ruhe.

Dieser städtischer, grosszügige Friedhof lädt zu einem gemütlichen Spaziergang und Verweilen ein.
Ca. im Jahr 1855 entstand das Gelände. Im Zuge der Neuorganisation 1910 wurde der Friedhof um privat genutzte Sektionen einiger Portuenser Ordensgemeinschaften und um eine Sektion für nicht-katholische Grabstätten erweitert.
Auf diesem riesgen Gelände befinden auch zahlreiche bekannte Persönlichkeiten ihre letzte Ruhestätte.

Cemitério muito bem conservado com jazigos e morumentos esculpidos em mármores belíssimos. Permite um passeio tranquilo escutando o canto dos pássaros (principalmente na primavera) nas árvores ao redor enquanto se observa a memória dos que ali repousam em suas lápides. Existe um jazigo da Família Santos Dumont (o brasileiro inventor do avião) muito bonito.
