Vereda da Penha d'Águia

Did it today with my husband and our 6 year old boy. It took us 4 to 5 hours approx. because of the child. We did it with no problems. I am totally not atlethic and little bit overweight, but child is quite atlethic. We couldn’t say that it was hard for us, we didn’t feel tired afterwards and when we finished this one, we drove to do another one. This hike is absolutely stunning! Great views, great viewpoints, and plants there smelled so good. Bring hiking shoes and water.

Great hike.
We came up the steep way from Cruz opposite the cafe by the Levada.
Was a tough climb at points and was a solid work out.
At the top there are two view points, one left, one right. Make sure you don't miss the right one, as it would be easy to miss, but the views along the coast there are epic.

Absolutely stunning viewpoint with a very cute old skool shop to grab a beer while you marvel at mother natures beauty.

A great walk for sure-footed people. Very steep ascent and descent, can be slippery in places. But a gorgeous walk with splendid views.
Finding the way back can be tricky, but when you do, it is beautiful and rewarding. Consult a map and plan your return route before starting.

Very nice hike! It's pretty hard so bring enough water and some snacks maybe. hiking footwear is a must..

A great short simple to follow hike/walk/run, some steeper sections but would be great for sunrise (take a head torch).

very nice natur and hillq, very difficult for people who do not walk regularly. Ascent is very steep, descent is a little bit easier. The final way along the road is not very pleasant, but there's no other possibility to get to the starting point. Walked with a 2yo child in a carrier, however we do not recommend it.

Bit of a scramble, easier going up than coming back down. Took about 1 hour each way.

Great traill it's easy path but it's fisicaly demanding , but with a great view over Porto Da Cruz I recommend this to nature lovers

Sehr schöner Weg entlang des Bewässerungskanals. Leider hat es am Tag vorher geregnet, so dass der Weg sehr matschig war. Geländer gibt es wenige und manchmal geht es sehr steil ab.

Trasa piękna ale naszym zdaniem nie trzeba wchodzić na górę, tylko dojść do punktu widokowego, który widać na zamieszczonych zdjęciach 🙂 Wyżej trasa była trudno dostępna, leżały powalone drzewa, było ciasno i nieprzyjemnie 🙂

Es una caminata preciosa, apta para todas las edades.

Egy rendkívül szép levada túra. Az ember úgy érzi magát, mintha a dzsungelben kirándulna. Lenyűgöző növényvilág, remek kilátás a környező területekre.
