Lagoa do Vento

The waterfall is truly amazing. There are fish swimming in the pond at the base and the water is just fine.

Don't get scared by all the stairs leading to it from Levada do Alecrim, it's totally worth the detour

It is extremely unique, beautiful and a great experience, but a very difficult tour

Pleasant 7km hike with 340m elevation gained. Wasn't crowded because set off early enough. Safe and comfortable to walk.

This is the hike to do in the area. Forget the other overcrowded waterfalls. There was little to no one at this one and its worth the hike!

I wonder my not many people are going here. This is like the OG of waterfall around fontes hike. Defly visit here after done with 25 Fontes.

The hike there and back is steep, but utterly worth it

When we arrived at the parking lot we saw dozens of cars and we got scared, fearing the levada would have been too crowded. Thanks god most of hikers were directed to 25 fountains! Btw this hike is beautiful and not that much difficult if you look for the right information on the web: do not start from Rabaçal, please do the opposite path! While we were reaching the waterfall we saw several people climbing 300+ stairs towards us, experience that we didn't have ;))) we only had to go down these stairs, actually! When you reach Rabaçal, if you are tired you can hop on the comunal minibus (3 euros per person), that brings you back to the parking lot. Last ride: 6pm.

As 25 fontes was too crowded I decided to add a few more steps to our walk to see this beauty, and it was so much worth it! Nobody there at 4pm!

Lindo lindo! É incrível observar toda a imensidão da cascata. É ótima para um mergulho gelado com as trutas 🐟 depois da caminhada até lá, muito refrescante.
Podemos ainda ser sortudos e ver praticantes de canyoning descer a cascata.
É uma lagoa muito bonita!

Super rolig och något utmanande hike som leder till det finaste vattenfallet!! Börja från samma plats som 6.2 Levada do Alecrim för en 3,5km hike (en väg). Väldigt värt att gå 1km trappor för att nå vattenfallet där man också kan bada med öringar!

Przepiękny wodospad i jeziorko, choć moim skromnym zdaniem jeszcze lepszy jest widok na całą dolinę i pobliską lewadę po zejściu na zbocze po którym odpływa woda.

Una laguna fantastica, soprattutto se si ha la fortuna di averla tutta per sé com'è capitato a noi per oltre mezz'ora. Dal parcheggio abbiamo preso il sentiero sulla destra, seguendo l'indicazione lagoa do vento. Il primo tratto è molto comodo e piacevole, nel fresco del bosco lungo la levada. Dopo il bivio, prendendo a sinistra, il sentiero si fa più disagiato, in discesa ma con 'scalini' disuguali, a volte molto alti. L'arrivo alla laguna ripaga di tutto: la cascata precipita in un anfiteatro di rocce basaltiche ricoperte da una vegetazione lussureggiante, il laghetto ai suoi piedi è di un bel verde trasparente e pieno di trote, l'ambiente è veramente paradisiaco. Per evitare di ritornare sui nostri passi e farci gli scaloni in salita, abbiamo proseguito per Casa Rabacal, su un sentiero che alterna qualche salita e discesa, con qualche scalino ma più agevole rispetto al tratto precedente. Il sentiero incrocia la strada asfaltata che porta su al parcheggio. In alternativa si può proseguire fino a Casa Rabacal dove si può mangiare, bere, usare il wc (a pagamento) ecc. Da lì parte una navetta per il parcheggio (penso costi 5 euro ma non l'abbiamo presa).

Prachtige route die begint op het pad van de parkeerplaats nabij het nature spot cafe. Kleine 45min en je staat bij een prachtige hoge waterval met een meertje dat rustig is.

Kom je na 15:00 dan is het mogelijk een paradijs voor jou alleen!

Seules les derniers 900m sont un peu difficiles, mais l’arrivée est magnifique.

Ein wirklich wunderschöner Ort. Wenn man möchte, kann man auch schwimmen gehen. Beide Wanderwege, die zum Lagoa do Vento führen, der PR6.3 und PR 6.2., werden als einfach beschrieben. Das ist weitestgehend richtig, aber der Weg ist steil, stellenweise nass und sehr glitschig. Es ist festes Schuhwerk gefragt.

Localizada entre duas cascatas, paisagem espectacular

C est époustouflant et vaut vraiment le détour, la cascade est immense, un petit point d eau permet de se rafraîchir les pieds et de nager un peu si on le souhaite... Il faut descendre environ 1km d escalier pour y parvenir, cela en vaut la peine

Wunderschön Wanderung entlang der Levadas zum Lago do Vento!

Pour moi, c'est la plus belle cascade de la région. L'accès est un peu plus compliqué (avec du dénivelé) donc il y a un peu moins de monde et c'était moins bruyant que l'autre cascade du coin
