We had half a liter of red wine, olives, bread, and 2 lunch entrées for only €24.50. Highly recommend this family-run restaurant—their food is delicious at reasonable prices!

Have you seen the movie Ratatouille, where the food critic had a bite, and flashbacks from his childhood came flooding back?
I had that moment in this restaurant.
I'm not even Portuguese, but it reminds me of some stewed meat and veggies my aunts cooked (Teochew-Singapore style).
The grandmas are so sweet, it has a nice homely vibe, well priced and good portions!
MUST GO!

Always family run small venues has the best food. But this one was outstanding even among those seen by myself. Dish of the day was a choice between pork and fish and we choose both.
Price (with coffee and desert) was under 30€.
There are no words-superlatives- for what we get. One of the ladys speak English and it was more than enough to comunicate.
I do hope we can get back here!
The venue is open during siesta until evening.

We stopped here for lunch in Silves as it was pouring down and were looking for an authentic place to eat. The lady that served us was lovely, she mentioned two dishes of pork and clams and one of fried fish. Both were super. We had wine with it and a coffee and everything was less than €30.00. I would highly recommend. 😋

This was such an amazing experience for my friend and I. We were feeling disappointed from the crazy tourist traps in Albufeira and wanted a more authentic Portuguese experience. This town and this restaurant were the highlight. The fish- mackerel- was some of the best I’ve ever had. The prices are very fair/ low - leave a tip! The 30 year old grandson and the grandmother both spent time chatting with us- in French and in English. Thank you again !

Probably our favorite meal in Portugal. Warm, friendly service, and wholesome food. Felt like having a home-cooked meal. Interestingly, the _rice_ was amazing too!

What a sweet, authentic, off the beaten path restaurant! Run by a few generations of the same family, delicious and well-portioned dishes are served with pride. The servings of both food and wine are very generous and I had (chicken and potatoes) a wonderfully relaxing meal here. The price was phenomenal, too!! Definitely add a tip for them - much deserved!

It was a dream that came true to eat in a place like O Pina.
The food is made and served by kind wonderful family .
A family that wakes up early in the morning goes to the market to get everything fresh ( the fish is from a local fisherman who just came back from his morning fishing trip in the Atlantic Ocean 😊 the Sardines of the Atlantic are irresistible 😋, the vegetables and chickens are from a local farmer.
It is simple, fresh cooked perfectly and delicious ( taste love, kindness and home)
There you don’t expect a menu, just ask the
sweet ladies there what have you cooked today ?😊
There you would be surprised of how little you pay for a high quality authentic traditional food however you pay nothing for love , kindness and hearty hospitality.
It was really special culinary overwhelming experience .

Lovely lunch: tasty, big portions, fresh ingredients.
This is a family business: the mother in the kitchen cooks in a traditional way.
We warmly recommend and will come back.

My fiancé Adam and I just happened to be walking past and we were feeling hungry, I saw the menu outside and the interior looked authentic and relaxed. We popped in and João and his family made us feel very welcome. The restaurant is a local restaurant and very authentically Portuguese. The menu changes daily as it's based on what's fresh in the market, the meals are true home cooking. We both had the chicken with onions, salad and chips, followed by a vanilla home made cake. It was all delicious. We'd both very happily come back.
João chatted with us abit, and told us about the history of the restaurant. I can't reiterate enough just how welcome we were made to feel. We both really felt like we'd gone to see a long lost cousin. Thankyou so much João and your family for a lovely meal.
If you're looking for authentic Portuguese food in welcoming relaxed environment you must come here.
We would definitely come back!

If love was ever an ingredient in food, you will taste that in abundance here.

I can safely say that this is probably the BEST dining experience I've had in my many visits to Portugal and it's restaurants.

At its core, This place is all about the family that runs it. Three generations in one kitchen bringing food that warms the soul.

There is no menu here and none is needed. Just sit down and say you are hungry. Food will start appearing as they are prepared by either the son, mum or grandmother; who brings 70 years of experience in the kitchen to your table.

On my visit I had potatoes with salt fish which on appearance wasn't even worth taking a photo but one taste and the whole plate was gone in a blink. There was fried fish, pork with clams and the most airy, lightest souffle flan dessert... That I've only ever experienced in top Michelin restaurants. You can taste the freshness and quality of every ingredient, from heirloom tomatos used in their welcome salads to freshness of fish which I bet came off a boat in the morning.

And the price for this treat? Criminally low. Somehow cost of living and inflation haven't caught up here.

I can't recommend this place enough. Go there, sit down and enjoy decades of loving hospitality in every bite.

Cash only. Excellent home cooked traditional meal. This restaurant is run by a small family and they are the ones who serve you and take your order. Hands down one of the most traditional experiences you will get here. The home cooked meal was delicious. They are so nice here.

I feel as though I’ve uncovered a real gem here. What a wonderful experience and a great price.

Sometimes dishes don't look gorgeous, but taste great. That's how it should be. The best restaurant I've been to in Portugal!
