Always fresh, tasty and innovative food. The service matches the exquisite cuisine. Since this year (2020) the restaurant is set outside, which is even better than before. Every which day there is very good live music. Absolute fantastic, totally recommend it.

Awesome restaurant with local twist. The food was fantastic, brilliant service and the owner made us feel like one of the family. Highly recommend this place. I would travel a far just to make this my food highlight of any trip to the Algarve. Not to be missed.

Lovely atmosphere on a Monday night with live music. Food was excellent as always.

This restaurant is out of the way but worth the drive from wherever you are. Be sure to make reservations. Love a message and you will get a response. Owner speaks excellent English. Everything is made to order. Menu changes frequently. This is not a night for run in, at & run out dinner. This is an event not a couple hours as everything is prepared fresh. Food melts in your mouth. If you have a special request or allergy, let them know. Service is excellent. Ambiance of being in an old restored still is amazing. A little on the expensive side for Portugal but you would pay 4 times as much in the US for a comparable meal.

For me the restaurant (food and staffs) is more than wonderful! Reason enough for 5 stars. Because the location is near to our place, it makes it perfect! We’ve been here three times within two and a half weeks. This is actually unusual to us. We ordered fish, lamb and beef menus (plus appetizers and desserts) and they never disappointed us. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Amazing dining experience at Alambique! The food was phenomenal (a true testament that to the chef’s passion for food), the wine tasty and the ambience was lovely & relaxed. I had the almond crusted hake and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. My wife opted for a goat cheese salad as a main and she was just as happy with her decision. You can taste the freshness of everything here and you can certainly tell it is all made with love. The service was great and we had a wonderful waitstaff. 20/10 I would HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for lunch or dinner if you’re ever in Silves. It truly is a treat!

We found this gem on Michelin’s website. It was the highlight of our vacation. We went on a Monday night and there was a live guitarist. He was pretty incredible and it got better. Another guitarist and a saxophone/harmonica/flute/clarinet player joined him. Amazing ambiance. The food was fantastic. Don’t miss the fried goat cheese! The Portuguese style steak was so good - it’s what dreams are made of! This place is definitely worth the drive! Not sure I can do it justice in a short review.

Enjoyable experience in a quiet restaurant. The waiter was friendly very attentivewithout being overbearing. The owner efforts to engage with us which we appreciated. The food, though narrow in range, was excellent. Some interesting art work on the walls.
Take cash, unless they have sorted the connectivity problems, (only a minor issue)

Yesterday we've been in this beautiful Restaurant. It was Amazing. Perfect trained Waiter, very good Wines and a gorgeous Chef. I eat one of the best Fishes (St. Petersfish) in my life. They also have vegetarian and vegan food. The prices are absolutely ok, 3 persons, 3 starters, 3 main dishes, 1 bottle of wine, 2 litres just 116€. It was an absolutely 5 Star evening. Fabulous experience Wilson our waiter had to many tables, but he worked to keep everyone happy. Wife had the best fish she's ever had. Wine was amazing and dessert was perfect. One of the best restraunts on our trip to Portugal.

Always a great meal. We've visited everytime we have been to Portugal over the last 6 years and it's never disappointed. The different produce 'weeks' are a nice touch (where in season products make up the specials - this week was plum week) but the normal menu is good for me and they are flexible to adjust things to your liking. Will be back... maybe later this week :)

Ten minutes drive from Amendoeira golf club. Very classy..... Lovely restaurant with exceptionally gorgeous food. Been here many times and always a great experience. Celebrated daughter & son-in-law's wedding anniversary here last night. A memorably enjoyable experience for us all......💕🤗

Considering the prizes that are just slightly above the average Algarve Restaurant, this place definately deserves 5 Stars.

This restaurant is first rate amazing well cooked fresh food that offers great variety and imagination.
A real gem that you must visit.
It speaks volumes that its location matters not and it is always busy so booking essential.

Wonderful kitchen and atmosphere, all the products are truly fresh and cooked outstandingly. The service is very enjoyable: staff is extremely polite and helpful. A chance got us here but we will absolutely come back on purpose once we are as close as 100 km.

Welcoming, Excellent menu. Tasty meal. Ambience good. Chairs a little hard particularly if on sloping part of terrace. Extra points for caring (nurture, flea return) for local stray cats

Best restaurant I have been to anywhere in a very long time. We could not make up our minds what to have and asked Marlen, who suggested we have a bit of everything! Time ceased to matter and we all had a lovely evening. In a world obsessed with speed and money these people still understand the meaning of service.

Up front, the Alambique is definitely off the beaten track and either a taxi or car journey from the busy Algarve tourist coastline, but one you've got past that 'hurdle' you'll get to experience culinary excellence, freshly-prepared food using only sustainable, GM-free produce and bags of flavour. Chef/owner Marlen has been treating my tastebuds for over fifteen years on every single visit to the Algarve with her particular blend of European contemporary cuisine and classics.
If asked to choose favourites from the long-time staples of the core menu it would have to be:
- house-marinated salmon on rosti or almond-encrusted prawns as a starter
- black pork tenderloin main
- any of her home-made ice creams are delicious
Note there is also a set menu available to accompany the live music nights on Mondays and a weekly-changing specials menu that features an ingredient that is in season (eg quince, cheese, potato, loquat)
So, book yourself a taxi, or even an early train to Poco Bareto, and enjoy a special meal.

We randomly stopped here and it was amazingly surprising! The place is great, service is the best and the food is really good! We had a very great time here! I recommend that place :)
