Antonio is a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. We did the Wild and Wonderful West Coast tour with him and it was a very enjoyable and memorable day. He shared a lot information about the Algarve region such as the local cuisine, flora and fauna which was quite interesting. Would highly recommend this tour.

António was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly! The tour was very comprehensive - Silves was beautiful, and we had the opportunity to visit an arts & crafts cooperative with lovely hand-made items and food! We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting to finish off the day. The minivan was very handy to drive around and had AC! Would highly recommend!

My husband and I did the Silves, Caldas and Monchique Wine Tasting: Full Day Tour. This was a fabulous activity to learn about some of the history of the Algarve region, explore some unique areas, like the thermal spa in Caldas, appreciate the amazing views on top of the mountain, and end the day enjoying some wonderful wine at a local winery. Antonio is an exceptional guide for this tour. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area, willing to answer all questions, and is super friendly. We even stopped at a site along the way to observe the hundred nesting white storks. It was a truly enjoyable day and I would highly recommend this tour to appreciate more about the Algarve region.

Fantastic Sagres sunset tour!
Antonio was very passionate and motivated to take us on a sunset tour. He checked in with us in the morning to notify us about the weather and the chance to see a nice sunset (it was quite foggy in the morning) and asked us if we were still up for it. We took the chance and we were super happy that we did. Amazing views and beautiful sunset, great atmosphere, great explanations by Antonio.
10/10 would recommend!

We had an amazing day with Antonio on the wildcoast of Western Portugal. We saw many secret places, stunning cliffs and beautiful beaches and Antonio told us a lot of interesting details. Antonio’s tour was one of the best tours we took during our trip to Portugal! He is so flexible and will stop at places that weren’t originally included in the tour if you ask him to. He is very kind and knowledgable, and takes very nice pictures!

My friend and I took the half-day wine/Silves tour with Antonio, and it was A++! Antonio was amazing, so friendly and informative and the best kind of guide. We loved the small production vineyard and if you go with Antonio you get an extra bonus- highly recommended.

Had a fantastic experience during the west coast tour with Antonio.Some of the beutiful views we could ever witnessed. Antonio is genuinely friendly and passonate about his work. He provides decent amount of information throughout the trip while driving you around with utmost care.

Antonio from South Explorers was the best guide! Very friendly and knowledgeable about all the areas we toured. I went on three tours-
1 Benagil caves, Carvoeiro and Algar Saco.
2 Monchique, Slives and Wine Tasting.
3 Wild and Wonderful West Coast.
All trips were absolutely amazing and unforgettable. I really enjoyed each one and they were all so different and I couldn’t choose just one I liked the best as they were all so great. It was so wonderful seeing so many different areas that were also so diverse in landscape. I will defiantly use South Explorers again when I return to the Algarve. I love that they also do personalized tours too which is a great option.

Had a brilliant day wine tasting and visiting the town of Silves thanks to our great driver and guide Pedro. He picked us up at our hotel and was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and accomodating.
Really great excursion and a lovely chance to see the beautiful Algarve countryside.

Ich habe im Oktober 2019 die Sagres Sunset Tour mit António von South Explorers gemacht und war damals schon sehr begeistert von seiner Art, eine Tour zu gestalten. Jetzt bin ich wieder an der Algarve und habe António kontaktiert, um mit ihm die Silves / Monchique Tour zu machen. Die Tour war wie erwartet super schön. Wegen der Covid Situation hatte ich eine Privattour, da momentan sehr wenige Touristen da sind. Die Tour ist ganztägig. António spricht sehr gutes Englisch, Spanisch und natürlich Portugiesisch. Er kennt abseits der 'normalen' Touristenstops schöne Aussichtspunkte und hat ein großes Wissen zur hiesigen Geschichte sowie der Flora und Fauna. Was ihn besonders als Tourguide auszeichnet ist, dass er mit seiner sehr freundlichen und humorvollen Art auf seine Tourteilnehmer eingeht und damit jedem ein tolles Erlebnis bietet. Auf Anfrage kann man mit ihm auch seine eigene Tour zusammenstellen, bzw. je nachdem wie sich die Tourteilnehmer einig sind, kann man an einem Ort etwas mehr Zeit verbringen und am anderen etwas weniger. Mit António hat man nie das Gefühl, dass man nur irgendwo hingekarrt wird, um schnell ein paar Fotos zu machen und dann weiterhetzen muss. Vielen, vielen Dank für die tolle Tour!!

Antonio is een zeer vriendelijke gids die alles doet om het je naar de zin te maken. Hij geeft veel informatie over het land en de plaatsen waar je naar toe gaat. Alles gebeurt COVID-19 proof. Wij hebben twee trips gemaakt. Omdat het minder druk is hadden we hem bij de tour naar Silves en Monchique als privé gids!

Fantastico tour delle fortezze di Sagres e del faro di Cabo de Sao Vicente, il panorama è mozzafiato. La guida spiega tutto nei dettagli e parla molto bene l’inglese. Molto comodo il prelievo direttamente in hotel a Lagos.
