This restaurant was a very good surprise. Its it not in a busy area of Lagos, it is local an non touristic. The owner is very friendly, took the time to explain everything. We tasted the traditional octopus rice, it is perfect. The Portuguese steak is very recommend as well.

We have dined here twice on our holiday this week and have been blown away by the food here. Not only the food but also the staff, have gone above and beyond. Beautiful menu and plenty of choice. Shrimps were an absolute must best in town !mmmm . We can't wait to revisit next year. 10/10 from us all ( incl my 3 kids )

Food is literally excellent!!! The portuguese style steak is super tasty. The waitor, Hugo is very kind, attentive and recommends the right dish and food to our taste buds! Anybody who walks past the restaurant definitely has to try it. The oven baked codfish is extremely fresh and good. Must try.

This place deserves all the praise it gets here: portugese steak, sea bass, house wine..it was all such a bliss. Probably the best portugese restaurant for reasonable prices during my 9 day trip

We went out for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the food quality and the professional service. The portion was just right for hungry people and we had excellent coffee at the end. We strongly recommend the restaurant for any travellers who wants to taste Portuguese dishes.

The food is excellent! Wow the portion is impressive and the food quality is exceptional. Kudos and a thousand compliments to the chef. We can see that she is working alone in the kitchen too. How capable! Hugo was attentive and great at explaining the dishes. The price is correct. Great value for your money. Overall this really exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

Best food we ever had in the algarve region. We especially loved the octopus rice and grilled sea bream. The desserts were awesome too - had the tiramisu and another chocolate mouse type of dessert! aWESOme!!!!
We even went back the 2nd time in our 2 days stay in the algarve region - which is quite rare since we like to try out new places. Friendly boss, and super chef (suspect it’s his wife - but we didn’t clarify).

We had been here years ago when it was an Italian restaurant and the food was pretty poor. Friends told us it was now in Portuguese hands and they invited us for lunch. This time our meals were superb, I honestly think this could be the best food in town (but don’t tell anyone as we want to make it our little secret!) seriously our monkfish rice and lamb chops were simple and delicious. The couple who run the place now are lovely, very welcoming, speak English, he’s the waiter, she’s the chef. We’re told it gets really busy in the evening, you’ll need a booking. Lunchtime is generally quieter and we had not made a reservation. Do yourselves a favour and give it a try.

Phenomenal experience here! The service was some of the best I’ve had in Lagos. The food was delicious. I can’t wait for my next trip.

We were looking for a local style, homely Portuguese restaurant for our last night, and that's exactly what we found. Relaxing ambience, extremely friendly staff, and great homecooked style food. The monkfish was excellent and my partner loved his steak! We came away extremely full and satisfied - a lovely neighbourhood gem.

The portions are huge. Everything was so delicious. We each ordered an entree & shared. Has the pepper steak & the Sea Breem. Very tasty.

not only traditional food, also traditional hospitality - the owner waits the tables and jokes with the visitors, helpful and kind. we really enjoyed the food, the grilled sea bass and goat cheese salad are perfect!

Fantastic Portuguese food, good value, food choices for vegetarians also which is quite unusual. One of the best places in Lagos.

One of the best Portuguese seafood meal we’ve had in the country. The owner is super nice! Be aware of his dessert tray! That was one of our best memories in the whole trip :D
