Viva Bar & Cozinha

This is a beautiful little restaurant which has an entrance to both sides, the front entrance facing the marina. We've eaten here 3 times so far, twice for breakfast and once for dinner, and each time the food was amazing, we were also allowed to bring our little dog inside the restaurant to a small designated area beside the window facing the back street, which was a nice cosy area to sit. The owners / staff were amazing and very pleasant to speak to and spoke excellent English. There was lots of choice on the menu and the prices were very reasonable, most of the meals were served with a lovely fresh side salad which was delicious. We couldn't fault this place and I also have to mention that the toilets were spotlessly clean. Highly recommend this place and we'll be back many times in the future.

My wife and I 🇨🇦 had a lovely meal of swordfish for me and francesinha (Portuguese dish) for her. Calamari appetizer. All of it tasty. Can’t say enough about the service and friendly atmosphere. It’s a family-run place. Casual dining👍👍👍

We came late but we still might have diner. They were very kindly, the fish that I had was a seabaars and was fantastic!! Also our starter and the desert were delicious. We defenitly will visit again.

The food was delicious here. I got the octopus which I can highly recommend. The sea bream was also particularly special. The service is great and has a very friendly atmosphere. So far one of the best dining experiences in Algarve and the prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Everything was so good. I keep comparing the sea food i eat everywhere to the dishes i ate here, since they were so full of taste. The tuna steak especially was exceptional. The staff was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend it, best place in Lagos definitely.

I visited a restaurant recently, and it was a delightful experience. I ordered octopus with potatoes, while my mother chose fried calamari with French fries. Everything was delicious. It was my first time trying octopus, and I always had a fear that it would be rubbery, but it was perfect—melting in my mouth. The calamari were also tasty and excellently prepared.

In addition, we ordered sangria with verde wine, and I must say it was the best sangria I have ever had. It had a perfectly balanced taste, refreshing and pleasantly fruity. I highly recommend trying their sangria; it's incredibly flavorful.

The waiter who served us was very friendly and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience at the restaurant.

I would gladly return there to try more dishes. I'm thrilled to have discovered this place where I can enjoy well-prepared meals in a pleasant atmosphere.

The food was ready in no time and the waiter was always ready to bring us a new drink. Definitely a plus!

We forgot a shopping bag in the restaurant and the waiter run after us to hand us the forgotten bag!

Really tasty food, especially the Galician octopus!! Lovely friendly staff. Really clean restaurant and a nice modern atmosphere. Would certainly recommend visiting here whilst in Lagos!

Rely nice place, service excellent, toilets the cleanest I've seen in a long time.
Would recommend the Chicken fillet with mushroom sauce. Very good value for money, been five times now, enjoyed it every time, they've even got Sean the sheep on!!!!!

Great food and service. My tuna steak with potatoes and salad was delicious! And the cheese cake was excellent, light and fruity with a graham cracker crust.

Very nice place with good food and atmosphere. I tried three dishes, definitely recommed the "bacalhau a bras" which was delicious. Portions were large and reasonably priced. Last but not least, the waitress is a very nice person who remembered me (and my previous orders), made me feel welcome and even explained the history of some of the dishes.

The food was absolutely delicious, I went back a second time with my family. The servers where very helpful anf service-minded.

We went for dinner with our two kids. They loved their pizza, but more to the point our cod croquette cakes were so light and fresh, the prawn kebab wonderfully charred and the Portuguese salt cod main absolutely fabulous. Service was with a smile and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food

The prices were amazing and so was the food. The waitress was so nice and spoke English very perfect. I know Spanish but no Portuguese so it was nice to have an English menu! I will go again!
