Taste Restaurante

I came in around 9.30pm and asked if it was still possible to get some dinner. They kindly accepted & even let me change tables since the live music was a bit too loud for my liking.
The food then, was also impeccable. Great small gesture from the chef, fried octopus for starter and the lamb shank as Main course. And desert was the brownie, because the lava cake was unfortunately sold out...
Overall, all courses were great, and the service was also very good! Especially one guy and girl who were were really nice, even though I stayed passed opening hours! The other was nice but was a bit rushed.
But yeah, conclusion, very very good dinner for a very very good price! Would certainly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant tucked away from the centre of town. Quiet, clean, friendly. Had a delicious gluten-free fried calamari, burger and fries, jacket potatoes. Staff went put of their to ensure our safety. Celiac approved!

20 Canadians walk into a restaurant… No really. We reserved for twenty and they set us up in the main area complete with live music and room to dance. We had a wonderful night. My group of four had three tapas: fried cheese, tempura vegetables, and mushroom bruschetta. We ordered four entrees: the hamburger, the vegetarian burger, the truffle ravioli, and the chicken supreme. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

We visited here as a family as we had seen live music here when walking past and thought it looked like a lovely place for our final evening in Carvoeiro.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff were very apologetic when an early arrival meant we only had one menu to share (which was not a problem for us). At least one staff member is English, and all spoke English fluently so we didn't use as much Portuguese as we usually would in other restaurants here.
We ordered the drinks special of a passionfruit martini - this took a while to come but was very tasty and clearly made fresh.

We tried the vegetable tempura, which we all enjoyed, and our two vegetarian members chose the gnocci for their main meal.
The menu is quite limited unfortunately for vegetarians, but we found the staff ready to help as when our free mini starter came and had meat, they were more than happy to replace this with a vegetarian-friendly version (with a few jokes thrown in!)

The gnocci was good, with a tasty sauce and perfectly cooked vegetables. Getting our food did take quite a long time, but the place is very busy, so we understood this and were prepared to wait and just enjoy the atmosphere and live music outside.

We all absolutely loved the almond liquor provided at the end of our meal and it was the perfect way to end the final evening of our holiday.

Overall, we would highly recommend Taste for those looking for a relaxed evening meal with time to spare to enjoy the atmosphere.

Taste Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Carvoeiro, especially those with children. Its commitment to quality food, combined with a family-oriented approach, makes it a standout establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a dining experience that caters excellently to adults and children alike.

Taste is the one restaurant my wife will insist we visit everytime we come to Carvoeiro. We've been visiting them since they were first open in the previous location and whilst they're now a slightly longer walk to get to it is still worth it. The food is excellent, huge selection of wines, cocktails and they even have craft beers. This time after complimentary toasts with salmon mousse, we had the tempura battered veg and chicken kebabs for starters and the beetroot balls with cabbage and beetroot, and lamb shank with rice and chick peas. (the two meat courses were from the specials board) Two cocktails, one Marafada pale ale, a large Estrella a coffee and one dessert with strawberries, granola, coconut and Chia seeds. Finished off with complimentary almond liqueur and port. Slightly more expensive that our usually meals, but two cocktails push that up, we still had fantastic high quality meal, in great surroundings served by fantastic staff for under €80.00.

We had a wonderful meal here. The server made me a special cherry mojito that I requested, and it was great. The apple and goat cheese salad was a wonderful starter - very different from what I expected. It was a baked apple with goat cheese in between layers of apple. Delicious! The tuna steak was fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the black salmon tortellini, which was delicious. They made my husband a special dessert of strawberry ice cream, fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and I had the creme brulee. Service was excellent. One of the best meals we've had in Portugal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful presentation of the food, extremely respectful and kind service staff and most importantly great food. This place is definitely one of a kind and it is very reasonably priced, I highly recommend absolutely anyone to try this place out. The owner of Taste is also the best, can’t wait to come back to Portugal and visit Taste again.

This is a great restaurant! We had no problems with service and the staff were really helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious (we had duck leg salad, fish risotto and the home made banoffee dessert). The portions are good and their prices are great for the quality of food that you get. The house wine is also really nice. If we were staying longer we'd definitely come back.

One of the best restaurants in Carvoeiro, if not the best. Great food. Steak night Saturdays. Puddings to die for. Pictures show Pina Colado cake, Apple Crumble with the best crumble ever and a delicious Brownie. Staff attentive. All round Great service. Must do on your holidays.

Fantastic!! Had thier set tapas menu, they bring you their choice off dishes and when you're full they stop. A great range, fresh and tasty. Helpful staff. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing! The meat was so succulent and came off the bone clean with minimal effort. The staff were amazing and spoke both English and Portuguese.

Our first eat-out on arriving. This place was recommended and is well worth a visit. Food was tasty..(🙄), well presented and service was pleasing. The atmosphere was convivial and we listened to live music while we dined.
Give it a try..it's one of the better places.

Classy Restaurant on the edge of town. Not a huge menu, but all the dishes were well thought out, and very tasty. House red wine also was great. Staff brought over a complimentary apperatif and also a small glass of port. Live music on Thursdays, so book a table away from the stage if you want to have a conversation at the table.

Food was great, as was the wine, staff were professional and courteous, and the lady singer made it a great night. Dancing around the tables towards the end of the night.
