Wow wow wow - this is a must eat and drink experience! We booked 9:00pm reservations because that's all that was left and are so glad we did. This was one of the best meals we had in our 24 days in Portugal! Marina and Hugo are amazing hosts. We highly recommend letting them guide your evening, we asked Marina to surprise us and select her favorites with Hugo pairing the wines. Every bite was incredible and the pairings were the best we've had in all our travels. The attention to detail and personal service was stellar. Trust us and go - trust them for your food and drink!

Absolutely astonishing! Loved the staff, loved the food, loved the wine.. but most of all we enjoyed following their lead in our dinner. When you tell them what you like and dislike in food & wine they will definitely make your evening one to remember. ❤

The food was exquisite - Portuguese with a twist. Good mix of meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. The sommelier Hugo brought amazing energy, enthusiasm, and knowledge to the wine pairings for each course of the meal - we learned a ton while enjoying exquisite wines that you wouldn’t typically find by the glass.

The space was also very cute - industrial chick with plants and lush greenery as the accents. Loved it!

Fun dining experience with Hugo and the staff at Le Cro. Delicious tapas food paired with the right wines. The order of food service was set up so our palate was served the right food at the appropriate time during the course of the meal.

Truly one of the best meals of our lives. The flavors were astounding and marina and Hugo were amazing with recommendations and wine pairings. All of the recipes are created by marina. So so so soooo yummy. We had the olives, charcuterie plate, sardines on corn bread, pork ragu (our favorite!), the veal, and almond cake with almond liqueur to end.

Excellent tapas with friendly owners. They actually served tapas as they should be; dish by dish! Great food and the owner has excellent wine knowledge.
Basics of it is... We will be back here!

Came back 12 months later and still a 5 star review! Excellent food, great atmosphere. It is a small intimate place with 22-25 seats only so I recommend that you reserve a table if you want to eat there to avoid disappointment of missing out.
We will be back again!

We tried out the new taster menu which comes with paired wines - Very informative and totally recommended for all levels of knowledge - fantastic hosts - looking forward to coming back soon - Tony and Bryan.

A beautiful little place run by a family couple. That was a spontaneous find and such a great one too! They have a rather small menu but the reason for that is that they do everything themselves there, from going to the market and handpicking products in the morning to making the food preparations on the day. Not only everything we have ordered was very tasty but you could feel that each dish is prepared with love. They also explain you a little about the wines they serve there and if you really like one- you can buy it to take with you. This experience was a real highlight of our trip!

This dinner was a TRUE highlight of my trip! Hugo and Marina go out of their way to make you feel welcomed, the food is exceptional and fresh, and the ambiance is amazing, everyone dining here was so happy to be there. I truly can’t say enough good things about it, make a reservation and go enjoy!

A great place to eat and enjoy, is not a typical restaurant i would call it a dinner at friends house thanks to Hugo and Marina who are welcoming and efortless friendly, Hugo was always offering best selection of wine to chosen dishes. I was coming everyday to try everything from the menu which is very tasty as well as deserts :) I hope to come back :)

When you get tired of the local offerings and feel like something a bit more original, then come to this place. Lovely owners and delicious tapas paired with local wines. Stuffed mushrooms and salmon ceviche were my favourites.

Loved dinner here! The owners have curated a fantastic menu that has meaning to them. Their passion for food and wine is obvious. The husband (who was incredibly knowledgeable about wine), took time to help us select just the right pairings to accompany what we ordered. I would absolutely go back. Highly recommend.

This restaurant deserves all the reviews and more. We went because of their great rate and got even more impressed. The food was superb but the whole experience was what got us. The owners greeted us and after we ordered the tapas, the husband (a sommelier) came and talk to us about wine asking a few questions to find out our preferences and finalizing by giving us a suggestion of which wine to pair with the first round of tapas by giving us a taste of it. We loved every minute of it and the pairing experience was truly a wonderful surprise.
We highly recommend going and even more, highly recommend surrendering to the way they serve and guide you. You won’t regret. Thank you Hugo and Marina for being so caring.

Best food in Cavoeiro. Staff are so knowledgeable and will recommend what wine to have with each course that you have. Menu is quite small but everything on it is excellent! Don't be put off by this. Food is excellent. We had truffled mushrooms and salmon civiche to start...both amazing. Followed by Portuguese cheese and meats. You won't be disappointed.

We have had some great food in Portugal but this is the best! We were lucky and managed to get a walk in table on a Sunday night. Probably worth booking to guarantee a table here...you won't be disappointed.

We went for dinner with our 11 year old daughter and had a great experience. This is a small restaurant served by their owners, a Portuguese couple. We did as the reviews mentioned and let them choose a few plates for the 3 of us and we enjoyed every plate. They also choose the wine for us and was equally awesome. We even bought one of the bottles of wines to drink later in the hotel. We really enjoyed every plate but our favorite were the meatballs, my daughter is still dreaming about eating them again. Try to make reservations in advanced since there are only a few tables available. We did our reservation the same day in the afternoon and were lucky to be seated. Highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it.

Best restaurant in Carvoeiro. Food and wine always stunning. Very friendly and knowledgeable owners, lovely people. Go every year and never fails to impress.

We had an excellent meal here. There is a fantastic atmosphere of calm where the focus is on great food and wine. Very fresh ingredients, authentic cooking and local wine from small producers. It felt like you were in someone's home with exceptional hospitality. We couldn't have asked for more
