Villa Medici

Initially we struggled to get a place, but after making friends with the waiter we got a great location in this surprisingly large restaurant. The service was professional and the atmosphere was great. My pasta was fresh and well spiced and the entrées were tasty. Would recommend for anyone looking for a non-offensive dinner.

I really enjoyed the new restaurant. The food and people are excellent. Paulo assist us with all the nice menus and choices and we really enjoyed his service overall.

A truly amazing dining experience at Villa Medici! Though it might not be the cheapest option, the wonderful atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food all come together to make it a truly outstanding outing. We had a great time sitting on the back patio, watching the sky change as evening set in – it added an extra layer of enjoyment. I definitely recommend paying a visit to this place, without a doubt!

Service was good and food too. Pasta was properly cooked and sauce full of flavour. One of the biggest highlights was dessert where we had a delicious pistachio pastry

A very unassuming restaurant from the outside that didn't look particularly special, but the food and wine here were completely amazing!!! 🍷🍝 The inside is like a tardis - we had assumed it was a small place but it was huge and very busy on a Sunday evening. We hadn't reserved not realising how popular a place it is but fortunately got a table. When you walk through there's an open kitchen (always a good sign) cooking everything fresh. The house white wine was the best house white I've had. They serve fresh homemade pasta and you can tell. I loved the pasta arrabiata which was also quite spicy, as it should be! 🌶 It came piping hot too. Good service.

Not been in this building in years...and very smart it is.
We opted for a couple of pizzas one seafood with clams, prawns and Calamari, and one Diavalo both beautifully made and gave off tremendous aromas.
Very tasty indeed, I followed with Tiramisu which was light and boozy, a very nice end to the meal.
You cannot beat good straightforward well made Italian food in very smart surroundings and this did the job.
Service was quick, friendly and efficient and at a very affordable price.
We sat outside at the front and this was a calm and nicely lit a haven away from a musician warbling out yesterday's mis worded hits in the square by the beach.
Perfect for a quiet quality meal.

Pizza pasta, pasta pizza

This is a fantastic Italian restaurant we visit at least twice on a holiday. Food is well made nicely presented. Service is functional. Extensive menu with loads of options, kid friendly. For those of you from the UK this is significantly better than any UK Italian chain restaurants like pizza express. Well made good quality food.

Awesome Italian food, well worth a stop if you are in the mood for Italian while in town. They also have the best tiramisu I've ever had.

Food was delicious, service was outstanding and the place was very nice all around from the fireplace to the decorations, even the restrooms. One of our best meals so far in Portugal. Don't miss out on the triple chocolate tart, it was very unique and extremely tasty!

10 out of 10 for this gem of a restaurant in Carvoeiro. The staff are wonderful, charming and competent in several languages. The service is speedy and the restaurant is open all day, all year round making it a very reliable option. Most importantly the food is excellent, we went as a family of four, ordered 4 different starters and four different mains and we all agreed that every dish was great. If your looking for Italian food in the area this is absolutely your best bet. I'll certainly be back again next year!

It was perfect and beyond all of our expectations! The place is beautiful, with much love to every detail. Everything looked super expensive, but the food actually was very affordable! There was a very cozy atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming and friendly :) The bathroom looks amazing and is so clean!! We had a perfect evening in this restaurant - we will definitely come here again!

It was delicious. Amazing. The only thing was that they don’t have high chairs for babies, but with managed. The wine and the food it was so tasty.

While I usually stick to local food when I travel, I gave this Italian restaurant a try since I was told it’s a good one and there would be a Portuguese twist. I had the Medici pizza which includes Parma ham, feta, dried figs with light honey on a mixed sourdough Romanian base. Quite a big size but I almost finished the whole thing. Love it!!

Really good Italian spot in town. We had two of the homemade pasta dishes (fettuccine Michelangelo & something else I can’t recall) as well as the prosciutto and melon. Great service and fresh, from scratch cooking. Would return!

A very good Italian restaurant on the hill in Carvoiero, Algarve, with excellent service, fair pricing, top-class service, and a great atmosphere, decorated with numerous pictures of Italian actors and beautiful actresses.
