As it was Sunday, we were having trouble finding a place to have dinner in our last night stay in Carvoeiro.
Then we found this little gem that was actually not very far on walking distance from our hotel.
We came in early and got attended superbly by Ruben who made sure to make us feel home right away.
Every whim of ours got gracefully fulfilled.
The food was delicious and we ordered 3 dishes for 2 persons. The shrimps risoto, lamb shops and ribeye. We also had a nice tomato soup but the queen of the night was reserved for the end, a formidable desert that was highly recommended by Ruben and it was so good that I completely forgot the name! I simply got lost by the tastes of it and I'm not even remotely a deserts kind of guy.
All in all, if you are in Carvoeiro, don't miss this one!

Amazing food and amazing service!! Carvoeiro really has some of the best people and food!! And this place is one of the best. Highly recommend the sea bass, mushroom risotto and the apple crumble. Our server was really amazing, they even wrote down a long note with their recommendations for things to do in Algarve!

Food is made with care and love, great flavours and so well balanced

The service is also friendly and warm - they took extra special care of our four year old with free ice cream and some special fruit

I'm thrilled we found this gem! We received a warm and friendly greeting. Out hosts were generous in answering all questions regarding local wines and menu options. We had the shrimp risotto and sea bass which were absolutely perfect. The apple crumble desert was heaven!!! The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing and we were happy to be away from tourist crowds.

One of the most enjoyable evenings we had in our vaction. Location was great, the staff and service were just amazing, like you visit friends.
Fresh and tasty food, live music and much more.
If you looking for a portuguese atmosphere and friendly people with amazing food you have to visit SAL & TAL.

Incredible dinner, experience and service. We ordered the fish soup, steak and the risotto and they were all amazing. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful and guided us through the menu. For dessert don’t forget to order the home made apple crumble. It is so so so good.

One of the best meals we have have ever had. We have traveled to many places in the world so can honestly say this one takes the cake. Flavourful food and very attentive service. Set by the pool on a beautiful quint resort. We shall be back this September.

It was really a great Restaurant the stuff was super friendly and loved joking around with our toddler.

Clean, excellent food, excellent service and from what I understood live music on wednesday evenings. One of the best, if not the best restaurant that we went to on this coast. Serves buffet breakfast in the morning, snacks (toasts, burgers, pizza etc.) during day and a la carte menu in the evening. Possibility to sit inside and outside. I recommend to reserve table for the evening as it's usually full. Try the Portugies steak. It was perfect!

Delicious food! Waiters very friendly, even moved us inside when some insects started buzzing around our food/drinks. Highly recommend!

Excellent dining experience. Delicious food and the best sangria we’ve ever tasted. The restaurant is very clean and inviting, there’s always relaxing music playing in the background. The best part of this experience is the service, the waiters are super friendly and helpful and there is so much positive energy around , it makes you want to come back for more 😃

Wow, what a wonderful restaurant! My husband and I are staying at the Tivoli hotel a short walk away, and came to Sal & Tal for dinner based on the great reviews. In our three weeks travelling in the Algarve, this was the most memorable on all fronts, from the great food to the service. We had the risotto with wild mushrooms and the octopus with sweet potato puree and sauteed greens, and the apple crumble for dessert with a superb espresso -- all fantastic. The wine list is outstanding, including by the glass, and the music -- wonderful fado -- gave just the right touch. In brief, this is fantastic.

One of the best meals we've had in the Algarve. We ordered the Portugese steak and the Polvo à lagareiro (Octopus). The service was fantastic and the staff gave us all their reccomendations for what to do and see in Portugal. We will definitely be returning when we come back. I reccomend anyone in the Carvoeiro area to stop by!

Everything we had was excellent - linguine Nero de sepia, Seabass, apple crumble with ice cream. It is a family business and every member of the family is a foodie. They love their food and know how to cook!
