The location was fabulous. But one can tell not much maintenance has been done in a while. It smelled old and damp. However, the location was fabulous. Parking is extremely hard to get in evenings or at night.

Location is the main attraction here. Only steps from a very nice beach, sunsets to die for, hiking trail and 10 minute walk from Carvoeiro. Peaceful and quiet. This part will not disappoint. Based on location I would give it 10 stars.
Uber ride is about 4€ to town.
Keyfob only works for the 1st floor side entrance, beach gate entrance and sliding door on level 9 (main entrance). All other doors have mismatched locks and keys don't work for them. Very inconvenient.
Upper level private parking has some sort of elaborate callback entry system which requires a local phone number and a knowledge of Portuguese language. There is also a fee but I wasn't able to figure it out. Parking on the street is available but it's limited and shared with everybody who comes to the beach.
The building itself looks impressive from a distance but it's run down with very long uninhabited eerie hallways with timed lighting and smell of mold, would be good for horror movies or deathmatch video games. It looks like it's been forever stuck in neverending state of construction and reconstruction due to lack of funds. One set of slow elevators.
Reception employees only speak Portuguese.

Weiterhin seit 2010 kein Investor, der Garage, Bar, Restaurant, Liegewiese, Pool, Kiosk, Bücherei und Spieleecke wiederbelebt. Sehr schade.
Ganz toller Meerblick, wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge.
Gebäude ist seit ca 2018 weitgehend renoviert.
Anstrengend ist immer wieder die Geräuschkulisse durch hochfrequente Vermietungen im Haus. Laufende Wechsel mit Reinigungslärm.
Die als automatisch ausgelegten Brandschutztüren wurden zuletzt alle manuell geschlossen, sodass die Flure nicht mehr belüftet werden. Wird bald zu Schimmelbildung durch die Meeresfeuchte führen...

Très bon édifice mais quelques problèmes avec l'appartement

Una ubicación perfecta, con una playa estupenda a 100 metros. El edificio está bastante viejo, con las zonas comunes muy abandonadas, le hace falta un saneamiento intensivo, pintura arreglos varios. El ascensor da un poco de miedo, entre lo tenue de la luz, los desperfectos de la pintura y el sonido de la alarma....
Los pisos ya son otra cosa, están bien cuidados, ya que dependen de los dueños.
Muy recomendable, pero hace falta bastante mantenimiento del edificio.

No se si estoy en un apartamento o en el mismísimo hotel resplandor. La verdad es que es perfecto para rodar una pelicula de terror, estuve aqui dos dias pero si llego a estar mas tiempo no lo aguanto. Le doy dos estrellas porque la ubicacion es muy buena y con vistas espectaculares a la playa, una pena que este abandonado.

If you like a relentless smell of mold and urine, you will LOVE this place. Even when you check out, you will still have that smell on your clothes and belongings.
I don’t even know how this place is allowed to operate. It is a toxic waste dump that is hazardous to your health.

The room they gave to us was horrible. Situated on the first floor .. they declare to have free internet, but there is no guide how to access it and even without any open wi-fi. The water boiler was turning off the general diferential switch. Very dirty. The bathroom rusted with dampness. The entrance door within a handle to open and close. The water pressure on the shower very low. The bed sheets dirty. The air-conditioned broken.. The coffee they left was not for that coffee machine. Without soap and shampoo. Really desapointed. Without any reception and even not answering in booking.

Run down hotel ... converted into appartment complex.
Do not expect any hotel services. These appartments are let by the owners. Some provide great value and some are scam.
No restaurant, no bar, NO POOL ...

This place has not been renovated or touched by any maintenance guy in 20 years. A lot of broken stuff, destroyed pool and a weird smell. Dont go there if you can avoid it, there are a lot of nicer places.
