Beautiful spot in the heart of this historic area. Musicians tend to come and play whilst you are eating. The food is pure and simple, seasoned beautifully with not too much faff. It’s home cooking at its best in Portugal. Staff are attentive and extremely lovely. We tried pretty much every fish on the menu and loved every one. We also had the green wine which was gorgeous! Will come back again and again for sure. Best of all we only paid €20 each!!!

The service is incredible, and the atmosphere is super nice!
The food is excellent starting from presentation, to portion to taste and especially texture!

Very tasty food and friendly staff, definitely reminds you of summer when you sit here. The fish was very nice, we got the cod, sardines and another fish to share (forgot which one) and a bottle of vino verde for 50 euros and given the location and atmosphere was worth it. Each fish comes with a little potato and salad and is about 12 euros each meal. They are cash only here!

In my opinion must go in Lisbon!!! They are grilling all fish at the front years where you can see and smell everything. It has cosy and magical atmosphere and the food is fresh / simple and increadibly delicious. And desert Pateo 13 is also a must to try :)

Superb grilled meats and whole fresh fish at very affordable prices with nothing over €10. Charming atmosphere in a beautiful courtyard in the Alfama old town. Always busy and you will not want to miss out so book before you go.

This restaurant should be a MUST go for everyone visiting Lisbon! It is tucked away in Alfama and is so lovely. I was able to walk in for an early dinner and was greeted warmly. I asked my server what her favorite fish dish was and she pointed out the sea breem so I ordered that based on her suggestion. It did not disappoint. Perfectly grilled and seasoned-the fish fell off the bone and was the taste was incredible. I tried rice pudding for the first time ever based on the recommendation of another server (and the tables behind me and next to me) and I truly enjoyed it. I would have expected to pay between €25-30 for the fish ALONE-it still would have been worth the price-but my entire bill for wine, an entree, and dessert was €18! All in all a great experience. I will be in Lisbon for a few weeks and I will definitely go back again.

Excellent fishes fresh very well prepared one of my favorite in Lisbon. In a quiet small place in alfama, no cars just friendly and lovely people passing by. My favorite is the chocos (Cuttlefish) (seiche) grilled. Service very friendly.

We ordered sardines, dorado and sea bas - perfect. Staff was polite and quick, recommend! Don’t worry about environment, taste is more important :)

Fantastic local Portuguese food, freshly grilled fish at a great price (~€10-15 per person for lunch). Can be a tricky location to find, but a lovely place to enjoy a quite outdoors lunch.

Simple fresh ingredients very well prepared - the fish is grilled outside on a fire right alongside the tables.

We stumbled into this place on a Sunday evening after exploring the Alfama area. It had a really nice intimate vibe and felt like mostly locals.

We ordered the whole fish dorado and the cuttle fish. The dorado was really exceptional.

Two mains, a salad, bread and a bottle of wine only set us back 34€- an amazing price for such exceptional quality and a fraction of what you would pay at some of the restaurants closer to the main part of town.

Recommended by locals and had the best fish probably ever, and I love fish. Fresh and cooked to perfection.

We were looking for a place where we could get great fish for lunch. Pateo 13 was the best choice for that. Fishes were delicious, the prices are good too. We recommend!

We ordered fish and ribs and both were really tasty, fresh and well seasoned. They provided potatoes and salad on the side which was a good addition to the super delicious grill. The only downside is that they are cash only. Would definitely go back.

The Sea Bass was incredible! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice and fresh tasting meal!

Came here with family after visit to aquarium. Very authentic Portuguese food, delicious, great value, good service.
