Long queue to get to the lift, had to queue for 1 hour and it was €6 per person to go up the lift. Great views from upstairs.

On exiting, you walk down some stairs. You can easily walk up these stairs to access the views if you do not want to queue for the lift and then it's free access also.

Very unique elevator the takes you up the hills of Lisbon. This one is super popular because if it's unique shape. There's usually a long line so plan to wait for ~30 min. But once you are on top, you get a spectacular view especially after dark.

This rickety, screechy neo-gothic 19th-century industrial-era lift transports passengers up from the Baixa district up to the Largo do Carmo. It has the finest viewpoints of Central Lisbon, with panoramic views over the Baixa district. A ride on the lift is included in the Carris Navigante 24-hour public transport ticket. Avoid riding the lift at peak times as the maximum number of passengers are jammed into the cabin. Instead go early in the day (before 9:30 am) or late in the day (30 minutes after sunset until closing time).

It’s a very good example of great engineering in the early 18th century. But you have to pay 5.30€ to get on it and there is a long line that will take you 10 to 15 minutes.

The better option is the hike to the top and see the same view for Free. Good thing we took a free city tour and guide showed us the route to see the views on top.

Very interesting attraction. This more than 100 years old lift will take you up to a viewing platform from which you can marvel at the beauty of Madrid.

A great thing to do if you want to see Lisbon from a height. the tower overlooks Lisbon old town and out to the sea. cost was approx 20€ for a family of 4. we took the lift up and had a walk around then walked back down to the town.

If you have lisboa card, it is included in the card. There is very long line in the bottom. It is better to get in the elevator from the top. Also, view from the top is beautiful.
Elevator is constantly getting good maintenance.
Inside of the elevator was well kept.
You should try once.

Long line. Worth the view but you can go up the stairs. Night view is amazing and be sure to go down the backside with the stairs. Cool streets and the views experience

Beautiful view from the lift. Nice walks across streets and explore , shopping. I took the lift up but walked down to watch the city. View from the tower is absolutely stunning. Ocean, castle and residential buildings. All in one view. Cozy place nothing adventurous!!

It’s a national monument so you can imagine that it will be no ordinary loft. Beautiful steel design it has served it original purpose for many years helping pole moving between different zones now it is tourist attraction the view from top is impressive but in Lisbon you have many view points. Yet, it’s unowned is worth visiting.

About 15 mins to queue for the lift. Price €6. But it was worth the wait just to experience going up this iconic lift. The views of the city from the top are lovely.

A great experience! We queued for around 30 minutes and used our travel day pass to use the lift for free. Inside is beautiful but there isn't a view as you rise. The view from the top is great and even though I'm not Greta with heights I felt safe. The upper area/ viewing gallery wasn't open but you could see fine without that.

The Santa Justa Lift is an iconic landmark in city center of Lisbon. Inaugurated in 1902, this wrought-iron lift connects the Baixa district with Carmo Square.

From the upper terrace of the lift, you guessed it, you get another panoramic view of Lisbon. The elevator runs from 7 am to 10:45 pm. It’s a great way to get between the lower level of the city up to Carmo Square.

The elevator is complimentary with a Lisboa card. Depending on the time of day, you may have to wait in line to use it. It is not very busy in the morning. There are also stairs from the street behind the elevator that will take you to the top for free. Therefore, unless you prefer to ride the elevator or are unable to use the stairs, you can ascend for free and avoid the wait. The view from the top gallery is quite pleasant.

As it close to my house, so i can see from my balcony. You can enjoy the maximum view from the top especially at night. There’s another way to climb up on top through walking stairs.

A good “Miradeiro” of Lisbona which gives you a beatiful panorama of the City .
Suggestion: go to the top of it using the stairs for free instead of the lift. 🌏

Really cool building, I would say it's worth the wait if you've got some time. There is a great view of Lisbon from the top of the lift. A tip is to go up using stairs and use the lift to get to the bottom if you don't necessarily want to use the elevator just to get up. If you do this, you'll skip the wait for the elevator because the line is just at the bottom of it. I recommend reading the lifts history while waiting to use it

Great view especially at night! Worth the visit but enter through the back, take the free elevator up from Rua de carmo by the Oslo store to avoid the big lines and save several euros!

It is a fantastic view of Lisbon, you can reach the lift from the pink street and you can go up until the roof, the view is fantastic, the cost of the lift is 1.5€. If you don't want to take the lift but you want still to enjoy the view, there are stairs on the pink street to reach the other end of the lift

It's busy, so be ready to wait. It costs like 5€ for 10 seconds. We had a day card for 24 hours for 6.2€ for trans and metro, but it worked also for the lift. :)
