We’ve been in Portugal for a month so far and this is hands-down the best meal we have had. Succulent, delicious ‘posta de cachena’ and beautifully cooked vegetables. A friendly welcome and incredible value for money, what more could you want? Thanks!

Made the reservation in this restaurant after a long hike on one of the train in Soajo, and we loved every single meal they served. We chose their Vitela Cachena, which is slow roasted beef that is so soft and juicy served with potato and carrots, the salad, their house wine and two dessert, pineapple with catalan sause and raspberry tart. Everything was amazing! The taste of home cooked, the ambience, the lady who welcome and serve us was awesome! Chef Joaquim who reply my chat for the reservation, and cook this meal is superb!

We ordered the grilled meat and bolo de mel and tarte de limao and was really perfect

Here you can eat steak from the local beef, the red cow, it's lean and delicious. You can also have bacalhau and octopus.

Me and my girlfriend started going there for a few days just to have their desserts, thinking they didn't have any vegetarian options, turned out they do have a vegetarian dish of vegetables that was delicious, the vegetarian starters were also brilliant. The desserts were all authentic and delicious Portuguese desserts, we literally came back to try different ones and I think we tried them all! The menu is seasonal and you won't necessarily have all the options listed available. The service was top notch, super friendly staff.

Delicious affordable food near Panada-Geres park. Delightful family atmosphere - despite having a lot of clients the waiters had a time to serve us with smile on their faces. Makes you feel like at home. The cachena steaks are a must – they are the best I had in Portugal. 10/10

We're vegetarian so we thought we wouldn't be able to eat much here, but they actually made us some delicious grilled veggies (off the menu!), plus some great salad and bread with olives. We tried almost every dessert and they were all amazing. The waiter was lovely and it was truly a joy to eat here. 10/10

I had a group lunch at this restaurant in April 2018. Our group was fifteen people. The service was quick. Meat and fish were the main courses. They were both delicious. The wine i tried was good too. There were three choices as dessert. The dessert i tried was really delicious but i do not remember the name of it. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

We accidentally found this quaint restaurant after our cab driver from Arcos de Valdevez had dropped us off for several hours of hiking the hills around the Panada-Geres National Park. The owners were closing after lunch service had ended, but they graciously served us anyway. This restaurant is a gem for foodies. We are from Texas and appreciate good beef. The cachena beef is so tender and moist; later our cab driver explained to us that the cows that freely roam the park and surrounding villages, are "unstressed" and this area is renowned for its beef. The serving portions are big. My husband and I shared the beef with veggies, a salad and the delicious house wine. After the beautiful hike and the incredible lunch, we called the cab driver from Los Arcos to pick us up. It was a perfect day and we congratulate the owners of the restaurant on their superior service and food.

Very nice Portuguese restaurant located a stone's throw from the granaries. If you are wanting something a bit more upscale than the pizza place, then this is for you. Price is great for the location, and we highly recommend the honey cake :)

We stumbled across this lovely restaurant not knowing what to expect and had a meal that we will never forget. We chose the local steak to share and it was amazing. Beautiful flavour and cooked to perfection! Wow. What a steak! We had the local wine which was very nice too served in traditional crockery, a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were so pleased to have stopped here for our lunch! I would definitely recommend to everyone.

Another great Soajo restaurant. We always love coming here with our boys to have the amazing cachena steak or roasted fish. The veggies and potatoes are always delicious as well. The service is friendly despite the fact that they are often busy - sometimes getting a table is tough, but that is always a good sign for a restaurant. Thank you always for hosting us!

We were there for a lunch on Saturday, came after “Caminho de Pão” trail. The restaurant was full but we were lucky and had a chance to sit on a terrace. Took “Vitela da Cachena” (Beef from the oven) which came with vegetables, potatoes and rice, 0.5 home white wine, bread & olives. Quality was fantastic, staff was very attentive and friendly. Portions are huge:) highly recommended!

Amazing food, in the centre of Soajo. Great service. I have had a steak (Posta) which was heavenly. Very well served and at a good price.

Very good quality food and service. Served in traditional ceramic dishes and portions were very generous. The staff who waited on us was very helpful with recommendations. Too bad we didn’t take a picture then. Would have visited a second time,if we had more time.

Everything is great in this Restaurant, the people, the atmosphere..And the food, wow, the food is like rural flavor at the high level, outstanding..
