We wandered the streets of Porto and joined various queues before finally taking a chance here after seeing an earlier queue. We were very lucky to only wait 5 minutes but if you can, make a reservation.

The food was fantastic and in my opinion very good value for the portion size which I couldn’t finish.

The drinks were very reasonable and great quality. The server was very helpful in giving wine recommendations.

I would say service let it down a little bit. It took a long while before somebody came to take our drinks order but overall we enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were very polite.

The prawn and squid stew was delicious. I ordered a side of fries but didn’t need them, it was a massive portion and suitable for 2 people.

Would definitely recommend. Our whole meal came to around €63 which I thought was excellent value.

Wow this is an amazing place. We had a place for 2 at a group table which worked fine, no pressure to chat to others but you could if you wanted to. We had garlic sautéed prawns, croquettes and the rib eye to share. It was faultless. Will be thinking about this food for a long time 🤤 the atmosphere was fun and casual. The service was excellent. Definitely recommend this place 10483847%. You can’t book but we got a table quite easily and it’s worth the queue!

You must make a reservation to visit there, even during the winter season, prior to the new year. Fortunately, however, we had made our reservation the day before while strolling along the street where Cantina 32 was situated. To the best of my knowledge, they are serving supper to guests in two sessions: the first from 19.00 to 21.00 and the second from 21.00 until close. Our tiny family of two adults and one youngster visited that place. Firstly, I would want to remark that the service was excellent and prompt, something I never would have imagined from a restaurant of this type in Porto. The waitress was so lovely, gorgeous, and charming 😀. Everything on the menu, from the appetizers to the sweets was fantastic when we ordered the well-known dinners.
Additionally, the cost wasn't that high. I've included pictures of the bill and the meals we ordered. I heartily urge everyone visiting Porto to check out this location. However, kindly note that high standards of service quality are not always achievable. As I mentioned earlier, we were fortunate that they moved quickly this time, possibly as a result of our reservation for the 19.00 session.

Awesome place. so much so that we got there 2 days in a row. The staff were friendly, efficient, out of the way and frankly vibrating positive energy.

We got the whole Octopus dishes and it is the best we've ever had (... twice I guess).

The banana cheesecake is also interesting (1 for 2 sharing is enough)

Locals told me that they have the best octopus in town and it was very delicious indeed. Fav part were the burned skin sweet potatoes. Pretty big for one person, would recommend to share (although I consumed it all).

We haven't had such an amazing gastronomic experience in a long time! You must try this restaurant!
We had octopus carpaccio, black pudding, stewed tripe - all delucious. But the TOP dish was Sauteed squid with butter - breathtaking!
Beautiful decor, nice and helpfull stuff and very friendly prices.

Food was amazing. Ox tail and octopus. For sure try the Portugal gin and tonic. Gin from Porto is amazing. We ate on the second floor and nice quaint with actual real candles

Delicious food! You have to try the squid in butter with some chilies. Also, the iberian ribs, codfish and tiger prawns were delicious. Definitely come hungry because they have some big portions! Tuna tartare could have used some more flavor. The red sangria was amazing!

Managed to get a seat without reservation. We went when they had just opened for dinner. Food is delicious albeit pricey. The power went out when we were eating!

In photos were fries, octopus and chickpeas - it was very filling for two people.

The best Portuguese restaurant in Porto.
Easy to access, nice and friendly staff, and fresh ingredients.

Please take grilled octopus and the banana cupcake.

Incredible experience! Except for the service, which was a bit slow at the end, staff was pretty friendly and attentious. Menu had options with fish and meat, multiple types of wine, drinks and non alcoholic beverages. Aside from that, the environment was super cozy and cute (and big!). We had to share a table with other tourists and it was nice as well! If you're looking for a more traditional restaurant, with a higher average price (we paid 23 euros each for our plates), this is a perfect choice.

The food was amazing. I felt like I could not choose wrong. The special meringue w/ toffee, chocolate, and wild berries I had last is the best desert I have ever had.

I was recommended to visit this restaurant. It’s close to the centre and located on the street with plenty of other good and not so good restaurants. It’s always your choice but I wanted to try the whole octopus that everyone was so excited about. Unfortunately, my partner was not into eating this so we picked the following: small cheese plate (wonderful selection with perfectly accompanied pumpkin chutney), squid and shrimp stew (great presentation and full of flavour but it’s simply too much for one person - perfect for two), pork ribs (very tender but also too much just for one person) and Fries 32 (great size for 3,5 so I’d also recommend to share it). We could not finish everything but it was very very tasty - would love to come back one day! Together with wine and the tip it came to €85. Make sure to reserve a table because it’s always full!

Hot damn!
Fantastic food, beautiful setting and all the staff are fantastic at their job and make you really y feel welcome. Outside seating a must if you really enjoy people watching.
The dish you can see is brown rice with wild mushrooms added extra olive oil and garlic.
Sorry about the shaky video.
Prices are as good as the food is fresh and tasty.
Great atmosphere throughout.
Ate here 4 out of 6 days that I was in Porto and it just got better.

Tried to book here in advance but no response so we were lucky as a party of 6 to drop in for lunch and get a table. Really cool place, great decor and playlist/atmosphere, service was great; menu is a little different/expensive from the ocean of other 'local' restaurants in the city but the cooking & presentation was excellent. Good choice of small, sharing plates as well as generous main courses and great local wine list.

We were so lucky to secure a table without a reservation. Our order included the sautéed squid, octopus carpaccio, and poached potatoes.

Trust me, you will never have enough of the sautéed squid—the flavor is unlike anything I've ever tasted before. It has a slight tanginess, savory notes, and a hint of vinegar, but all these flavors blend together perfectly, creating a harmonious sensation in your mouth. It was so delicious that we couldn't resist ordering another portion. The octopus carpaccio was remarkably fresh, tender, and seasoned to perfection.

In terms of pricing, I believe it is very reasonable considering the portion size, the quality of the seafood, and when compared to other restaurants in the area.

The octopus was very well cooked and was the perfect texture. Highly recommend the squid as a starter. It was so flavorful! The portobello was also very delicious. Highly recommend. Waiters were very attentive as well!

A great little spot with very trendy decor just a stones throw from our hotel, on one of the main streets in the historical town.
We were recommended to book by our hotel and friends who had been to the city previously.
Overall the food was fantastic, but service was pretty slow. I don’t know if it’s because we were a later table int he evening but there didn’t seem to be any control over who was looking after who.
Food was good although worth avoiding the chickpea curry as it was bland, but everything else was delicious.
Loved the little touch of the plant pot cheesecake which was delicious!
Also, very good value for money.
