Really nice rocky beach with plenty of bars and restaurants around. A concrete breakwater makes swimming safe and possible even if weather is bad :). There is a restroom near the beach entrance. It may be difficult to park a car nearby but 400-500 meters away there is couple of big parking lots.

Very nice place for a walk, there are nice bars & restaurants near by, you can park the car on the street (2.5h for 2E).

Lovely, just like the entire island. Lots of places to eat and a small beach for sunbathing, swimming, paddle boarding. The area is quite busy so not much parking available, but there are options along the streets, 10-15min walk away.

This place proves that nature is the greatest artist. There are also things made by people, but they fit so well into the landscape that they are not annoying. If you go early in the morning it is very peaceful and you can enjoy the scenery in peace.

Great beach with best views, nice sea access and public toilets. Sandy beach with black sand and volcano rocks. Worth to visit. There are two bars or buffets there. And lot of parking in old tunnels.

A lovely stone beach with super weather almost guaranteed. Plenty of amenities nearby such as toilets and restaurants and bars. Walk further round the promenade and great views of Calheta and Ribeira Brava

Probably the warmest and sunniest part of Madeira 😍.Black pabble beach - watch out for the sea currents though. Nice view at the colouful houses. Definitely want to come back one day. The sooner, the better❤

This spot is a gem. Visited Madeira in early November, and had a nice time swimming here on two occasions when the ocean was very rough everywhere else. Decent free public restrooms for my pregnant wife. A nice beachside cafe for food & drinks. Also, there is a great spot to jump off the stairs/wall/cliffs into the water below. Water shoes recommended for beach entry on stones. Don’t miss the freshwater shower at east end of beach… water was nice and warm from sun hitting the rocks!

One of the best places to watch the sunset!!! The water is great as well, but there are only rocks. There are a few options to have some dinner as well.

Small stoney beach but with a boardwalk and a few place to lie down with an fixed umbrella. There is a restaurant in front for a nice coffee or other drinks and food.

A great place to stay if you just want to relax and get away from city life. There are some great restaurants and bars with amazing food and a huge selection of beers.
The beach is rocky but offers great sea views. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach too.
There are several walking routes nearby too, access to the Levada Nova route is not too far away (starts up by the supermarket) and offers great views and scenery.
It's a quiet, idylic little town, but that's the attraction.

Great "Sea side" resort. Lovely sea front restaurant/ bar. Only issue is parking - we were lucky.

Beautifully located at the waterfront. Had a coffee, quickly served by the nice waitress.

Dramatic surroundings.
