RB2 Vereda do Nateiro (Banana route)

A great trail to take with kids. It's short and easy, banana trees are everywhere around, interesting to see how bananas grow.

Small walking trail. We were walking with a 1.9 year old child. It's interesting to see how bananas grow. At the end we even found a few ripe bananas)

Nice little walk in between banana gardens. You can follow Verada da Ladeira and Vereda do Nateiro.

Short 10 min walk but something different and a bit unique. Go and enjoy all those banana plants. Recommend for those who never saw banana plants before. Not a difficult path, so could be recommend for a family with children, elderly people. A lot of shade, so a great attraction during hot days (but still bring some water). It is also a very clean path, and after a walk you can grab something to eat or drink from a near by restaurants and cafes.

This a very short walk (300 m) trough several banana plantations. You can park your car on the side of the road and walk in there for free. During the walk you can see the different stages in which a banana grows which is quite interesting. Take notice of the levadas during your walk and how they are used for irrigation in the plantation. The route can be completed in about 10 min. At the end you can have a drink in the cafe next to it or you can go a few hundred meters down the road to RB1 or RB3 if you can’t get enough of these banana plants. This route is fun for a short trip if you are in the neighbourhood!

This is lovely walk in Madalena do Mar. You see many, many bananas! Very enjoyable and interesting with Madalena beach nearby and bars and restaurants
