Super Tradicional Market

A little gem of a mini-mart. We rented a villa nearby and stocked up here on arrival. The vibe of the place took us back to an era when personal service was a given. The staff here were wonderful. Unbelievably we were treated to a couple of free beers, sweets for the kids and to top it all a lift back to the villa with our shopping. Honestly, the best shopping experience I have ever had. Made us wonder why where this approach has gone to in the UK.

In the store, there are very nice and friendly workers, everything you need is available, and the prices are very similar to those of a regular supermarket like Continente. Thank you for the shots and the recommendation of "bolo do caco."

Nice staff, wide variety of products, including souvenirs, at quite reasonable price. We bought several bolo de mel as souvenirs (Chabom brand is really tasty and available here, while another brand available in larger quantities in Pingo Doce turned out too dry). There are public paid parking places in front of the store.

What an amazing shop. Great stock, great fruit and vegetables. The wine selection is brilliant and the staff are so friendly. They even gave me a lift back to the villa with all my shopping. So kind!

The seller/owner even opened our newly bought wine, the prices were great and the range of the wine and other stuff was wide.🙂

Just arrived yesterday, delayed, so we were late to hotel (Dom Pedro Garajau) tired and hungry. My husband went searching for something to eat but all restaurants near us were closed. He asked the owner of a little shop down the road, if he had anything to eat... Sandwich, bread or anything, so the guy... His name is Emanuel, phoned three pizza takeaways for him, finally finding a place even tho closed, made us the most amazing pizza, then Emanuels non English speaking friend drove my husband in his car a few miles to pick up the pizza.! Refusing any money, or offer of a slice of pizza! Such hospitality! Best little supermarket in Madeira! 😍😍😍

This is the single best supermarket I've ever come across. The owner, Emmanuel, is the nicest Person I've met in Madeira, not only because He pays attention to every customer and is super Kind, He also helped us when we had serious trouble traveling. He organized a Car and drove ist to our next house, making Stops at viewpoints and His Patents Restaurant bom sabor where we got to try amazing traditional food! I came in as a customer and left as a friend. Thank you so much Emmanuel, I Wish you all the best !

Was für ein kleiner und toller Supermarkt. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und erklärt alles mit viel Geduld. Die Weinauswahl ist riesig und es gibt alles was man braucht. Ob er jetzt so viel günstiger oder teurer als die anderen ist, kann ich schlecht beurteilen, aber alleine schon für den tollen Service lohnt sich der Weg.
