A nice stadium located closed to Funchal, (short taxi ride) We got tickets to watch maritimo vs Santa Clara. Tickets cost 15 euros each. Tickets are available from either the store in Funchal or ticket office at the stadium. Staff are helpful and friendly. No matter where you seat there good view from anywhere in the stadium
The atmosphere in the ground was excellent, and no stop chanting through the full match.
There is a fan zone just outside the stadium with cheap drinks and food.
Just to be warned, you are not allowed to bring cameras or other items as they could be used as a weapons.

Didn’t get to see a game sadly. But in a lovely spot. Do check out the ridiculous number of trophies in the club’s museum.

The stadium was smaller than we expected so no such thing as a bad seat in the house! WE WERE SO CLOSE for 40€ each...there were cheaper tickets if you want to sit behind the goal and just want to be there with the fans!
IE: The Porto fan side was so much fun to watch and they were definitely having a good time.

Ok, to buy tickets...we found out the day of that there was a game close by ( thanks Google Maps ) We asked around once we couldn't figure out a way to buy the tickets online ( not sure if it's something you would do still but ahead of time or with a reseller ) but we were able to get the tickets at the stadium by walking up to the window.

Once you are inside ( took us another 20 minutes waiting to get in our section )...chips, snacks, and 1€ for a small bottle of water or beer. Cash only ( at least the stand by our seats ) so bring cash!
Was super happy with 1€ beer and couldn't get enough of it. Even if it's the baby bottle size.

GO TO A GAME IF YOU GET THE CHANCE. It took us some time to figure it all out, but we had a great time.

A lovely intimate place for football in the Portuguese top flight. Doesn’t fill so you’ll always have a choice of seats that fits your preference. Ten Euro gets you in and that’s a steal. Easy access and ample parking. A lovely experience for local culture and make no mistake — football (soccer) is a way of life here. I live on the island (expat) and have been to many of the major stadia in Europe, Latin America and the USA. This is unique, it’s own thing.

When in Madeira do as they do on a Saturday and go and see a football game .
This was a great experience and a chance to see the local team play the game .
The stadium is rather large for a small team but the crowd make up for it by banging drums and waving huge flags
Much better experience than a football game in England. Lots of women and children attend to see the local team and everyone is very friendly and it could be classed as a family day out
Tickets are cheap too only costing around 12 euros to go .. also ignore the seat numbering on your ticket .. you can sit anywhere this a free seating arena

Home stadium of Maritimo. Plays in the Primeira Liga. Buy tickets like locals do by going to a newspaper store/cafe and they usually have deals for buying copies of daily newspaper and getting tickets to the football match way cheaper as a promotion. We paid €6 pp for 4 tickets. It was a regular season match not against a top team in the league (Sporting, Benfica, Porto). Ask your hotelier or vacation rental owner/host to help you get the deal at a nearby newspaper shop.

Last game of the season 2018 v Sporting Lisbon. Maritimo win with 90 min goal 2-1. Me and some Portuguese kid going absolutely mental. Beer prices are good, has a local club feel to the place. Mixed fans except Lisbon ultras having their own stand.

I love coming here for matches. Maritimo vs anyone is always a fun experience.

Don't listen to people that say it's open seating. If I pay for center, I expect my seats to be vacant , and not occupied by some punter that paid for cheap seats; or there's going to be a problem. I'll red card any punter sitting in my seats.

Great modern stadium and good atmosphere, with a beautiful backdrop of mountains when sat in the home goal stand (€30). Only downside when I attended was Maritimo defeated 2-0 by Porto.

Lovely little ground rebuilt to a high standard. Pitch looked in great condition despite the deluge on the day I visited.
I understand the capacity is circa 11000 and judging on yesterday's attendance they will struggle to fill it.
I am sure this is common here owing to the difficulties and costs involved but there were no apparent away fans in the ground. When they scored if it had not been for the home fans moaning all would have been silent. Not what I am used to.

Great stadium with the most amazing views I've seen from a stadium. I was taken aback by the support, I would say only second to my team, the fans were brilliant, if you get a chance to go to a game here, then take it. I'm now Marítimo. Obrigado. What an atmosphere.

Buy tickets from the north stand. Very simple, they speak English and tickets for a premier league game were only €10. #PlayUpMari

I watched the game against Aves, the food and drink options are a bit dire. But the stadium is nice
